We spent a lovely couple of nights at the hotel. It’s very convenient for all the local villages and restaurants and the Triberg waterfall is just a couple of minutes away by car. We had a room with a balcony over the stream so sitting down, listening to the water was just what we needed to relax. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays so we missed the opportunity to dine in but breakfast had a good range of sweet and savoury. The owners are extremely friendly and always available in case you need anything. I personally also loved the comfortable bed and cozy duvet!!

My recent stay at this establishment left me utterly enchanted, thanks in no small part to the exceptional service provided by Beatrice. Upon arrival, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by Beatrice, who ensured that my check-in was seamless. Throughout my stay, her friendly and efficient service continued to impress me. The hotel rooms themselves are lovely. Well-appointed and tastefully decorated, they offered the perfect blend of comfort and sophistication. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the private balcony that overlooked the river and lush forest. Waking up to that breath-taking view while immersed in nature's beauty was a true delight. Now, let's talk about the restaurant. The Italian cuisine served at Inselklause Hotel Restaurant is a feast for the senses. The menu boasts an array of delectable dishes, each more tantalizing than the last. From classic pasta dishes to mouth-watering seafood and succulent meats, there's something to satisfy every craving. The flavours were rich, the portions generous, and the presentation, impeccable. The breakfast at Inselklause deserves a special mention. The availability of eggs cooked to your preference is a thoughtful touch. It's rare to find a hotel that pays such attention to detail in the morning meal, and it certainly made my mornings all the more enjoyable. The location of Inselklause Hotel Restaurant is another feather in its cap. Situated just outside of Triberg, it offers a central hub for exploring the beautiful southwest of Germany and even venturing into neighbouring Switzerland.

We arrived slightly later than 3pm on Tues (they are on break tue and wed), but the host kindly waited for us to check-in. The breakfast is small but homely enough! The bread is fresh, fruits are good... it was just cute. The room is sufficient with a balcony, and the toilet is big with two sinks and a tub. Can tell that the place is well-maintained as it’s clean. By car, it is really near the town and restaurants (10-min drive). There is free parking too!

Our room was well appointed with a spacious shower room and warm radiators. We enjoyed a delicious, generous supper and had a comfortable night in our room overlooking a mountain stream . Breakfast was also good setting us up for our cycle and the day ahead. Our host even researched our journey and procured tickets for us to proceed by bus should we feel we needed to

The location is ideal - you wake up the middle of the tranquil black forest. The staff (Beatrice especially) were friendly and had extremely high standards of customer service. The food was amazing (we had dinner when we arrived, which was divine!) and a wide choice for the continental breakfast.

Great location for us as the first stop was the Triberg Waterfalls which are maybe a minutes drive down the road and it’s about 5 mins drive to Triberg town centre.
