Overview
Located at the foot of Mount Watzmann in the Berchtesgaden Alps, this guest house in Schönau offers a large garden and healthy breakfast buffets. Lake Königssee is 5 km away. The family-run Pension Gregory provides spacious, non-smoking rooms each with their own bathroom. Most of the rooms have a balcony. Guests are welcome to relax in the Gregory’s garden with sunbathing area and table tennis facilities. A TV, selected books, and different board games can be found in the shared lounge. The Gregory’s daily breakfast buffets feature natural muesli, organic jam, and local honey. On Sundays, guests can also enjoy cakes and fine bacon. The Pension Gregory is a great base for activities including hiking, mountain biking, and winter sports. Berchtesgaden is just a 5-minute drive away.

Great location , Beautiful scenery , Christian the owner very helpful in assisting getting taxis for transport needs. Approachable, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and plentiful.

“Highly recommend”
Christian is super nice and with a great passion! He let us deposit our luggage before and after our stay, and give us some advice about our journey, which definitely helped our trip. Although it rained, we still have a amazing time in Berchtesgaden and Schönau :) The double room with a balcony has a wonderful view and I have sit on the balcony for several hours to watch the rain. Also, the bus stop is super near but only come every 30 minutes, travel with a car would we better since they have parking lots. With a big space and soft bed, we had a comfortable stay there, but don’t forget to bring shampoo, you’ll need it here! (The picture is the view, love the tranquility here as long as no cars pass haha)

Pension Gregory is exactly as advertised. Christian is a welcoming host, the rooms are very comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and it is a beautiful location close to all the local sites.

“Great place to stay”
The owner was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Location was great, near the city centre and sightseeing. The home surroundings were pleasant and tidy. Definitely recommend.

Christian was a lovely, cheerful host who spoke superb English. The room was spotlessly clean, lots of space and with a balcony. There were good restaurants and places to have a drink within 10 minutes walk. Christian prepared a wholesome and tasty breakfast with lots of coffee. Given the prices in the area, this was a super bargain.

“Beautiful area, fantastic host, great price!”
Christian is a great host. He was very warm and friendly when I arrived and showed me everything personally. The property is in a beautiful area. A bus passes about twice an hour which you can take to reach the property; however, I chose to walk there to enjoy the scenery, and it only took little more than half an hour from Berchtesgaden main station. The property itself is great. There is a common room in which you can sit and maybe meet other travellers. You also have the breakfast there, from 8 to 10. There was a personalised card waiting for me there with tips and infos on weather, next events, etc., which was very thoughtful. In my case, the price was also the best among all other properties in the Schönau area, so that's a plus too!

Tranquility. The area is awesome. And the owner is warm-welcoming and very friendly and positive. There's no way you won't like it here. Highly recommended. Definitely next time I'll be back here for more than one night as a tourist not business traveler.
