This place is magical, it takes you to another dimension of connection with nature, silence, and Bavarian culture. The room is very comfortable, warm, and has everything you need. Since it’s a bit far from the city center, it’s better to have a car. I did everything on foot, which requires good physical conditioning, especially in winter, when I was there. I was very well taken care of and my stay was perfect! Thank you for being so attentive throughout the entire stay!

“Amazing place to stay within the area”
Unreal location, beautiful room with a lot of history (Romy Schneider), and the cats are super cute :) The bathroom is also very spacious; you get a TV, cutlery and plates and a mini fridge which I found to be really useful. I also really appreciated the warm blankets, free digital guest card to travel around the area and the leaflets and booklets provided in the room itself.

“Beautiful and quiet alpine retreat - very well kept and comfortable”
The really beautiful location, the comfiness of the bed, the cleanliness of the room, the quality of the shower, the fact it's so quiet, the easy check in and out. Price was very reasonable for three nights.

“A fairytale”
Haus Mariengrund is located in a beautiful place, with perfect views from the terrace. It is so picturesque that it looks almost clicheed. The room is convenient for a short stay, and nicely decorated. For one night, I brought some food and beer and had dinner on the terrace, instead of going to the city. After a day of hiking, it was great to just sit there watching the sunset. The location is better if you are travelling by car, but the bus stop is not that far away, and some shops and restaurants are within walking distance. A friendly cat will surely pay you a visit.

Nikolaus and his family are very nice. My room was cosy, the place was very clean, the view from the balcony was stunning! It was a part of the Bavarian fairytale. I also liked the location, close to Berchtesgaden and beautiful hiking trails. I hope next time I go to the Bavarian Alps Mariengrund will be available. Thank you for everything.
