Overview
Located by the Thuringia Forest, this traditional, 16th century, country-style hotel is in the medieval town of Schmalkalden. It offers traditional cuisine from the Thuringia region and a peaceful outdoor terrace. All rustic rooms at the Stadthotel Patrizier feature a cable TV, radio, safe and private bathroom. Some also offer free Wi-Fi and a seating area. A buffet breakfast is served every morning in the Stadthotel’s elegant breakfast hall. Breakfast can also be served to guests in their rooms. The woodland surrounding the Patrizier is ideal walking, cycling and day trips. Schmalkalden Train Station is about 1.5 km away and the towns of Rhön and Erfuhrt can be reached in approximately 40 minutes by car.

“Historic Hotel in the Heart of Schmalkalden”
This is an historic hotel in the heart of Schmalkalden. Everything in the historic town is within easy reach on foot, and the property provided on-site parking. I did not have breakfast during this stay, but have on a previous stay and it was very good.

“Great hotel in a cental location”
The hotel was not that easy to get to due to some road construction in the area, but once we arrived we were greeted very friendly and even got an upgrade to a bigger room. The room now had a living area, bedroom and big bathroom. A lot of space for only two people!
