Because of my work, I travel a lot and stay in many hotels, usually in the higher category. I chose Hotel Strandleben rather by chance for one night, as it was on my way north — and I have to say, I’ll remember the place and its atmosphere for a long time, and I’d love to come back. The whole hotel, its location, the interior, the cleanliness… everything is tasteful, practical, and comfortable. For me, a true gem — and autumn in Schleswig is simply magical.

It’s nicely located by the sea. The rooms are spacious and have nice views over the water. Dinner at the restaurant was also pleasant and the food was good.

It's a fabulous hotel in a beautiful and very peaceful waterfront location. The room was very comfortable, tastefully decorated, and clean. Food in a hotel restaurant was amazing, great choice, including vegetarian and vegan options. Staff was attentive and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Boutique hotel, clean, pleasant and warm atmosphere, standard and tasty breakfast.

Really splendid location by the lake. We stopped there on our way to Danemark. Our biggest surprise was the restaurant where the wine card & the food was great. Most of their wines were organic & bio dynamic from very select wine makers which are usually not something you find in a hotel restaurant.

Where to start, a beautiful building with an awesome view. Service minded, multi lingual and polite personal. Luxurious room (suite) with great beds, very nice bathroom. Very good breakfast with lots of local produce.

breakfast was perfect, and location is fine. our daughter study at Stiftung Louisenlund at Güby so its perfect place to stay over if we have school party or just to visit her in Güby.

“A delightfully located and modern hotel”

The hotel has a delightful location on the waterfront just beyond the old fishing cottages in Schleswig. It is very modern and well appointed and what would be expected of a boutique hotel. The room was generous and the bed comfortable. The hotel went to great lengths to ensure Covid-19 safety. Everything was clean and well maintained. The pre-ordered breakfast was generous. We had an evening meal in the hotel and this was well presented, tasty and filling. A short walk takes you into the heart of the old fishing cottages of Schleswig, which is very historic and attractive.
