“A good peaceful getaway from the city”

The lockbox was easy enough to find, however, the apartment wasn't the easiest to find as the street address wasn't mentioned. However, one of the kind hosts did manage to show us the way around 7.30 pm, well outside regular reception hours. The staff was amazing throughout. The facilities were great, specially the fully stocked kitchen with oven, microwave, stove, kettle, toaster and more made it easy to cook everything we needed. Also a kids playground and family friendly hiking and biking trails nearby. Cleanliness was also fantastic. Value for money was good, and the location was decent, nothing spectacular unfortunately but a nice peaceful getaway.

This was not our first time at Zum Wildbach, but a first rent apartment of theirs and it was fabulous. I have no idea how they keep everything so clean, but they do. The cleanliness is simply unmatched. We had a cosy patio, which we enjoyed very much. The flat was spacious, well furnished, cosy and, as I mentioned, very clean. We had everything necessary to cook our own meals, in the morning we had fresh, warm breakfast buns hanging on our door knob. The hosts are super friendly and always do their best to accommodate any request. They even let us check in earlier because we wanted to go hiking in the afternoon. Everything about this hotel breathes hospitality and we will definitely stay there again. 10/10 recommend.

“Lovely appartement in picturesque village”

Ferienanlage Zum Wildbach is situated in the small picturesque and charming village of Schierke. The appartement itself has plenty of space for a family. It was spotless clean and very well equipped for a long stay, including a washing machine in the common room. The beds were very good, and gave us good nights sleep. We were very well received by then staff, and they were helpful in every way. The surroundings are very quiet, and it is only a few minutes walk to restaurants, cafes, and the grocery store. Our favorite cafe is Café und Backhaus Zum Brockenbäcker. The place is a perfect base to explore the area, including a trip with the steam train to the top of the Brocken. We have stayed here before and will call again. Highly recommended.

“Great stay in Schierke”

The apartment was spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean. Big and modern TV in the main room + cozy coach = great evening. Kitchen was equipped with microwave oven and a small conventional oven. Location is good: grocery store in 5 minutes walk, easy to go to hiking trails. Plenty of electric sockets (which is not given in many hotels, still).

How clean rooms are, the good breakfast en location. Also personeel was very nice despite the language limitation.

Perfect place for hiking in the region, with trails accessible on foot. A short car ride away from other cities like Goslar. The well-equipped kitchen is always a bonus.

I liked the location of the hotel and how quiet and peaceful it was. Our room was clean, well-furnished and warm, the beds were clean (without any smells) and comfortable. The bath was clean and had everything one needed. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Nice big apartment, and a lovely balcony facing a small stream. Everything was as it should be. Breakfast was nice as well. I brought 2 dogs, and it was no problem at all.

Excellent breakfast, great location especially for a hike up to the Brocken peak. Sauna was not open due to Corona but it is a plus. Very friendly staff and the room was always thoroughly cleaned. Definitely a good pick.
