We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was spotless, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The location was convenient, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

The service in the dining room which was booked for the Thursday evening. Had ro wait at least an hour before main course. The fries came 10 minutes after that. The asparagus special was stringy. My cousin who had booked complained. We were offered complimentary coffee and the meal cost taken off. When we received the bill it was still included on the bill. I was going to complain but my cousin didn't want to make a fuss. She should have. I bought a coffee earlier in the week. I gave him 10euros he brought back 3 euros 75. I pointed out the mistake. I hope it was a genuine mistake.

I felt disappointed with our stay. We booked a Superior King Room for a special celebration, but were given a much simpler Comfort Room instead, smaller, cheaper, and nothing like what was advertised. Paid €234 for one night, but didn’t get the experience we expected. Sad because we had high hopes for Van der Valk Schiedam and wanted this to be a memorable occasion.

Wonderful huge room with a balcony. Outstanding pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great bar area and impressive buffet breakfast. Easy walk to the metro.

Superb view over the city. Floor to ceiling window. Luxury bath and shower. Amazing space. The pool and sauna were amazing The hotel is used by football teams... Need we say more?

The hotel is modern with beautiful minimalistic design with all the amenities and comforts needed. The room was very clean and comfortable. Lovely shower. Breakfast was very good with large selection of hot and cold foods. Service was friendly and attentive without being too much.

An incredible experience. The wellness centre on the top floor is really amazing, the food in the restaurant is world class, the staff were wonderful and the interior design and attention to detail is really beautiful.

Generally we love Van der Valk hotels, and will definitely come again. Lovely room, parking, great breakfast. And most important for us - pool with sounas on the top floor with fantastic view. Schiedam branch seems new / renovated. Besides that check out was at 12, and not at 11 as mentioned on booking.
