“A special experience staying in a beautiful, old building right next to the old town”

It was lovely to stay in a beautiful, old property with so much history, and right next to the old town. A delicious breakfast too.

A palazzo as B&B, how wonderful. Host was very friendly and helpful in responding to our questions, also those including parking as well as the history of the palazzo. The lago di scanno is wonderful, and a car ride to Barrea is spectacular.

The location is very convenient, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the building itself is authentic and full of character. The breakfast was excellent. They even prepared scrambled eggs and cappuccino for us, and took great care to make sure we were completely satisfied. Overall, it was a truly unique and memorable experience.

Wow, wow, wow and......... WOW. I feel I should say Scanno and the accommodation is dire just to keep the tourists away. But I can't, the Palazzo is spotless and oozes history, the staff are amazing. Breakfasts were a delight. Scanno is olde old old, not manicured like so many old Italian locations this is pure and gritty and all the better for it. Tremendous and then some more. There is a die for pizzeria a few steps away and the Terra restaurant is a dining extravaganza. Did I say we enjoyed it.

It’s clean, well located and comes with private parking. The lady who runs the B&B is a pleasure to deal with and the breakfast was very good too. Thank you for having us and accommodating our request for 7.30am breakfast.

“Stunning house and location, highly memorable”

Stylish and comfortable stay in historic Scanno. We loved the old family furniture and setting. But it’s also super comfy, with a cosy heated bathroom and quilts on the bed; tea and coffee making facilities; fast WiFi; easy parking; next to all amenities. Host Matilde is super friendly and offers a delicious breakfast with multiple options including eggs, pancakes, local cheese and ham, homemade cake. It was easily the best breakfast of our trip! Highly recommend this memorable spot.
