Overview
Set in Scanno, Hotel Roma is surrounded by the Abruzzo mountains, 3 km from Lake Scanno. It offers free Wi-Fi, comfortable rooms with different designs and a restaurant serving regional and Italian cuisine. Each room is different at the Roma Hotel, but they all include a telephone, desk and a private bathroom with a hairdryer and toiletries. They all have views of the surrounding mountains. Homemade cakes are served at breakfast each morning and savoury items are available on request. The restaurant for hotel guests offers a fixed menu which changes every day. Drinks are available from the bar and there is a terrace with tables, chairs and sun loungers outdoors. Bikes are also available, and the hotel has a classic Art Nouveau design but was renovated in 2011. Buses to Rome and Sulmona stop right outside. The nearest ski lifts are 800 metres away. Abruzzo National Park is 10 minutes' drive away. Roccaraso and Pescasseroli can be reached in a 1-hour drive.

The rooms were huge, and the bed very comfortable. The furniture was in keeping with the age of the hotel and was beautiful. We ate there, and the food was tasty and plentiful

Basically everything from the welcome of the Owner to everything. We were in the back room but the kindness of the owner changed us to a better and great view room. The excellent of the food in the evening was amazing. Breakfast very good too.
