We loved the experience in the yurt camp. We initially intended to go to one in the dessert but after reviews we came up with this alternative and booked for one night. We stayed luckily two nights afterwards and the whole camp from the stuff to the location and facilities was really great. The stuff are so kind and helpful, highly recommend it as a break from the city visits

“If you want a yurt experience in Uzbekistan, choose Sayyod yurt camp.”
I am writing this review after staying at two different yurts in Uzbekistan.I must say Sayyod is by far the better choice. From the moment we arrived we felt hosted and welcomed. The other camp felt like a tourist trap but Sayyod felt like a family had invited us to stay at their yurt. We were very well taken care of by Abbas whom were so helpful throughout our stay. All staff are friendly and always smiling. Food was also great. We , a group of elderlies had a wonderful stay.

Everything was perfect from the very beginning till the end. The welcome, the food, and the place were absolutely amazing. I would definitely have spent more days there. The surroundings are great for a hike or just for a walk. Truly a gem. I will come back!

“Rewind and relax in this Yurt camp in the mountains !”
We loved our stay in the Yurt camp. While at the camp we played played ping-pong, practiced archery and enjoyed reading our books lying by the pool or in the hammocks. We made wonderful hikes in the mountains surrounding the yurt camp. We also really enjoyed the food served for breakfast and dinner. The people working at the yurt camp were all really kind and friendly. Thank you !

“Nice mountain setting, basic accommodation, great food,”
The setting is nice and the hike to the mountains from the camp is lovely. The food was excellent. Showers were good and the hairdryer was appreciated as it was chilly at night. The bed was comfy. They ordered me a taxi to Samarkand.

“A beautiful stay with great food and a welcome break from the rush of the cities.”
It is a special place and run by friendly and joyful staff. Gulli’s welcome was exceeded by her fantastic cooking of local dishes for breakfast lunch and dinner. The setting was outstanding and a great base for hiking in the mountains - a babbling stream running through the site but with archery table tennis and a swimming pool and fire pit to keep us entertained.

“Book at least 2 days in this heaven!”
This was one of our best stays in Uzbekistan. The place is so beautiful and peaceful. The pool was amazing, crystal clean, surrounded by the mountains. It felt so good to have a break from July hot weather. We didn’t even need for a fan in the yurt at night (but you can ask if you need). There is electricity in the yurt and the bed was comfortable. The shared bathroom is super clean, it has everything you need: soap, shampoo, hair dryer etc. Both the dinner and the breakfast were huge and super delicious. The owners and the mountain guide working there are all very kind people, you really feel welcomed without feeling overwhelmed. The hammocks are super comfy too.

Great place to relax, enjoy nature, and unwind in an otherwise busy and urban focussed Uzbekistan trip. The camp offers a lot of activities for free, which makes you feel a guest rather than a walking wallet. The staff is kind and we met the nicest people of our trip here, around the campfire provided by the yurt camp. Lastly, the dog, Bingo, was a true hero that kept us safe from "dangerous" foxes and wild cows that roamed the forest around us

“Don't hesitate. Book”
From the moment we enquired about staying at the yurt camp the staff were informative and friendly. We organised our transport through them, picked up from Tashkent and 4 days later driven to Samarkand. On arrival at the camp, we were welcomed by warm smiles and shown to our gorgeous yurt. The beds were super comfy, it was very clean and colourful in design, and the super thick blankets kept us warm at night. The food prepared by Guli was lovely and plentiful. A bonus was being able to go to the dining hall anytime day or night, and help ourselves to tea and coffee. The camp was set out under the trees, which were turning gold as it was autumn. The pool was cold but a great bonus, and fun was had with archery and table tennis. We did some great trails straight from the camp with the adorable camp dog, Bingo. At night, there was a huge campfire, which we sat around with other 'campers' and hosts sharing stories and dancing to Uzbek music. This was the most amazing introduction to Uzbekistan, and all our hosts are wonderful ambassadors for their beautiful country.

“Beautiful silence and peace in nature”
This yurt camp is awesome! I recommend it to everyone who wants peace, nature, being away from the city and want to feel… free. You can use the pool with a beautiful view on the mountains, you can hike, you can try archery, table tennis or just chill in the nature by the fireplace. Host speaks very good English, she can help you with anything you need. We didn’t use any additional attractions, but there is possibility to have a hike tour, rent a bicycle or have a ride to/from Samarkanda. There is also restaurant where you can purchase additional diner if needed.

I really recommend anyone to come stay here who wants to get away from the classic silk road cities for a few days. The camp is in a really idyllic location, surrounded by mountains. I loved going on hikes and relaxing by the pool or in the camp's hammocks. All the staff was really friendly and responsive, helped me organise transfers to/from the camp and served plenty of food.

“Staying at Sayyod Yurt Camp was cozy, authentic, and full of beautiful nature.”
My stay at Sayyod Yurt Camp was both relaxing and adventurous. The camp is located in a beautiful mountain setting with fresh, clean air that makes you feel completely refreshed. There were plenty of activities to enjoy — from hiking in the mountains to archery and table tennis. Spending the night in a traditional yurt was a unique and comfortable experience that gave a real taste of nomadic life. The food was freshly prepared and very delicious, and the hospitality of the hosts made everything even better. It’s the perfect place to combine nature, fun, and comfort in one stay.

“Overall was a nice experience to spend 2 nights there! But we wish we knew some things before booking this place.”
The location is great, the territory is quite big, there are very beautiful mountains around, so if you go hiking even for 10 mins, views are breathtaking! The staff was quite welcoming, especially Guli and Bingo! Toilets and showers are quite clean. There are quite some things to do there: ping pong, pool, archery, star gazing, evenings by a fireplace etc

The camp is located in an amazing place in the valley surrounded by The Nuratau Mountains. The yurt was very clean. There's a common bathroom and a dining room where breakfast and dinner are served. We're vegetarians and the staff prepared delicious vegetarian meals for us. We went hiking on our own for two days but if you want, you can hire a guide. The hikes were great, with stunning views and no other people around except for shepherds. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the ladies. It's an ideal place for people who like peace and quiet close to the nature. I definitely recommend it!
