The main thing that makes this place great is the location. Right in the center of downtown, and they have a lot of activities and events in the bar / restaurant / that is directly connected to the hostel. 2 min walk straight down the street to the beach. The shared rooms with bunk beds are also surprisingly cosy for a v reasonable price. There are plenty of nooks in the public spaces of the hostel to hang out in, so you really don't need a private room. The heated pool in the center is pretty clutch. Shared kitchen is nice to have if you want to cook yourself, or even just reheat your leftovers from a nearby restaurant.

The location is great. It’s right in the centre on town and a few minutes from the beach. The beds and comfortable (with curtains) and they clean the room and bathroom daily. The staff are helpful and happy to help.

Really close to the beach, really clean bathrooms and common areas, amazing yoga classes and easy to get surf boards.

Such great people keeping the hostel alive, clean, with lots of socialising opportunities. They have a “host” every day that sends messages in the hostel group chat with the evening’s activities. But, when I fell sick they took such great care of me. I never write reviews but Viajero deserves this! The amenities here are a class apart from other hostels and I have been in Sayulita before and I’m glad I chose to stay here.

The best hostel I've stayed at. The pool is refreshing and a real plus in hot weather. Super close to the surf. Beds are comfy and private. Yoga is great and there's a lot of space in the hostel to lounge. Staff was nice and helpful in locating my lost item. All the comments about the noise, it's downtown Sayulita, surrounded by bars, every other hotel in the area is the same. Noise in dorms? That's why you bring earplugs to hostels, you can't control who you're with. I tried 2 other hostels in Sayu and this one is much better for almost the same price.

Honestly the best hostel I’ve ever visited! I’ve never met such friendly and helpful staff. When we arrived, we got picky with our assigned room and wanted to switch. They didn’t make a big deal out of it, were really understanding and switched us to another room immediately. The pool in the lobby was very nice to have and the yoga spot upstairs is out of this world. Everything was very clean and we will definitely come back to Selina on our next trip to Sayulita ☺️

I rarely write reviews, but I must comment on the outstanding service of Raquel. She works at the front desk and has excellent knowledge of the booking system, very impressive social skills, perfect English and endless patience. She even found my lost two thousand dollar phone and made sure I got it back. I suggest that corporate levels of Selina pay her to help the other employees understand how to be the perfect representative of a luxury hostal. She listens carefully and shows genuine compassion while maintaining a high level of professionality. I have been to 30 countries and about a thousand hostals, Raquel is simply amazing. I assume she is a well educated professional who is doing this kind of work for fun as part of a vacation experience. I will give my full input on this hostal as I find it very strange and am already here making a review.

The unique room was massive and visually beautiful but impractical to sleep in as it has open sides to the roof. The man working in the restaurant at breakfast was really nice.

Super great location, awesome pool and leisure area, restaurant was nothing to write home about but the community kitchen in hostel was great, everything you need. The coffee station was bare, not stocked, as the staff are pretty much stoned all day, I did really like the yoga included and they gave my friend a free pass as well. Definitely a cool place, not managed though. Check your bookings, make sure you re confirm...sketchy stuff with bookings and cancelation policy etc.

It was a pleasant stay. I like that it is very close to the beach and it is very centrally located in Sayulita. It was very quick and easy to out to the beach or go out to grab food. I was also pleased that the internet was really fast. There are a lot of people co-working and plenty of area to lounge around near the pool, at the restaurant, at the common area or at the "roof-top". There were also a lot of activities they offer and everybody are friendly. The vibe was really great, you can easily make friends with fellow travellers. I was happy I booked with breakfast and it was great. I was happy to have it before I start doing any activities or after doing some early tours. They had a good selection. However, on my second day, the waiter was a bit disorganised. He forgot to bring my juice, got mixed-up the food from the other table to my table and no cutleries were ready. I had to wait and picked up my utensils near the kitchen. The common area was pleasantly clean and well maintained.

Selina's biggest asset is the quality of the facilities. Christian, one of the member of the reception staff have been the most helpful and adorable person met during this trip. I am very grateful for his assistance all the way through my stay.
