We were traveling with our dog, so it was very convenient to have direct access out the back door. Central location. Good breakfast.

Nice location at the water and good breakfast

We were a group of 25 people from Latvia. We traveled with our own car. The hotel is located right on the beach, a 5-minute walk from the fortress. Very responsive staff. The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Comfortable beds. Good soundproofing. There is a kettle for making drinks. I really liked the soap/shampoo series. Parking in the hotel yard. Dog-friendly hotel at no extra charge. Very tasty and excellent breakfast. Everyone really liked the "attraction" - make your own waffles. We definitely recommend this hotel.

“Charming and quirky stay at Hotel Hospitz!”

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Hospitz. This beautiful 1930s building has a lovely quirky character and plenty of old-world charm that makes it feel special. The location is excellent, right by the lake, just a short stroll from Olavinlinna Castle and the town centre. We loved the peaceful lakeside setting and how convenient everything was. The hotel is a little old-fashioned and could benefit from some refurbishment, but the rooms were still comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere made our visit very pleasant. We would happily return for the great location and unique historic feel.

“An old but up to date hotel on the waterfront in Savonlinna.”

Prime location on the waterfront close to the castle. I traveled in late september, and in the evening the hotel was staffed with only one person, a young woman. Se made me dinner, served drinks in the bar with the fake fire place and tended the reseption all by herself. The rich breakfast was served in a large hall that could be used as a banket hall for special occations.

Historical Finnish hotel, but very modern inside. It is in a small town street. Good value for money. Directly at a lake side with ships. Small private parking. Very friendly young staff. I have been travelling to Finland for decades, and Finnish people can be a bit shy. But this hotel I can really recommend.

“We were surprised of how nice it was”

Really nice hotel. The Staff was really friendly and helpful. They made is a delicious breakfast to take away as we had to leave really early. We had a balcony that with views to the lake. The room was spacious and we liked the old fasioned furniture very well taken care of.

The room was very nice and clean. Best breakfast I ever had in an hotel.
