Overview
Set on Savona’s seafront, Mare Hotel offers a private beach, a large sea-view terrace with outdoor pool and modern rooms with hill or sea views. Savona‘s centre is a 5-minute drive away. All non-smoking rooms at Hotel Mare come with a private balcony and a sofa. They all have free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV with both satellite and cable channels, plus a private bathroom complete with a hairdryer and toiletries. Breakfast can be served on a patio overlooking the sea and includes local focaccia and olives, along with a varied selection of fresh fruit. “Lovely hotel, good breakfast, lovely pool and beach.”
The hotel is lovely though the interior decor was quite dated, though in perfect working order. I do feel it was slightly overpriced but the pool and beach were both lovely, staff were nice and the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was great, lots of options all freshly prepared. I would recommend.

Small and very well functioning hotel. The rooms are not too spacious, but when you come for sunbathing on the beach, you usually don’t pay attention to the size of your room. We had the window to the street. It was busy through the day, but it didn’t bother us, because the AC worked very well and the windows isolated the noice quite well. The hotel has its own sandy beach and the guests are offered free tanning beds throughout the stay. The beach area of the hotel is very well organised. Pools, bars, even the animator for the kids. It felt like the hotel is very well prepared to take away all the little headaches of their customers and it was extremely nice. To those who understand, the hotel serves illy coffee for continental breakfast! They even have illy coffee machines in the rooms too!Other than that, rich and delicious breakfast with the sea view and extremely nice staff made our stay.
