An amazing place to stay right next to the national park. Literally just across the river, you can find wild animals roaming freely. Unfortunately, we didn’t spot any directly from the accommodation itself, but the owner showed us photos of rhinos, crocodiles, and even a tiger that had come down to the river for a drink. The accommodation has a very pleasant outdoor seating area and serves delicious Nepali and Indian food, along with fresh fruit and refreshing fruit drinks. For a hot day, I highly recommend the watermelon or orange mojito — both the non-alcoholic and alcoholic versions were excellent. The rooms/cottages are equipped with a fan and a small cooling unit, although air conditioning would definitely be appreciated 😅 There is also a hot shower, but during our stay we mostly preferred the cold one — in the second half of May, temperatures were already around 37°C. The accommodation can arrange buses to Kathmandu or Pokhara, as well as a tuk-tuk to the station. They also have their own guide and can organize different types of national park tours according to your preferences. We chose the full-day jeep safari, and even though it was already past the ideal season, we still saw rhinos up close, were lucky enough to spot a bear and an elephant, and saw plenty of deer and monkeys. We also came across fresh tiger tracks several times — which honestly felt exciting enough for us. The guide and driver worked together perfectly, taking us along hidden trails and lesser-known paths throughout the park. By the end of the day, we were completely overwhelmed with impressions, information, and the heat 😅 An incredible experience that was absolutely worth it.

The name tells it: best place to chill, surrounded by nature, sitting in the garden, sipping on a fresh fruit juice. Located directly at the Rapti river, the stay provides a real jungle feeling. Has its own tuk-tuk driver for transports to the town. Food is fresh and delicious, ordering is possible the whole day.The staff is very friendly!

Fantastic view on Rapti river, bids, rhinos, buffalos, monkeys, crocodiles and elephants crossin - all visible just from cabin;s balcony plus sunset. Incredible owners and cook, serving food at any time.

“Best experience”

Everything, this is the best place to discover Chitwan ! The rooms are so comfortable, the food is so good and the garden is amazing, you can see some animals directly from the hotel !

Really nice place to stay, people are friendly and the location is directly next to the river what is amazing. We had always warm water in the shower. And we really like to go on the walking jungle treks with our Guides das and manu. They know everything and we saw Rhinos, a bear, wild boar, monkeys and a lot of deers. It was really amazing and super easy booking at bamby chilling house.

“A charming place by the river.”

We booked an elevated cottage with a terrace overlooking the river. The cottages are located in a natural setting. The facilities are basic: a bed, a bedside table, and a small bathroom. The stay was comfortable, although it was cold at night (in December). The staff were kind and helpful. There is a restaurant on site, and it is also possible to book a safari, other local activities, and transfers to the bus station.

Beautiful location along the river but still in walking distance to Main Street, staff were super super helpful with organising transport, trip ect. Food was nice and reasonably priced.

Very attentive staff. The location is just stunning. Right by the river. Magical sunsets and sunrises almost guaranteed. It's in a quiet area but still walking distance to many shops and restaurants. They can organise jungle trips even in short notice. I had the best time on a walking tour with amazing guides. Rooms are simple but clean and good standard. Highly recommend this stay for nature lovers.

Great place to spot deer, birds, water buffaloes and sometimes even rhinos. Delicious food. Good tours with Manu and Sudas.

The location is amazing, just on the riverside. In four days I saw three different rhinos from my room! The staff is really nice and helpful, the food delicious. I did a walk safari with two local guides, Manu and Das, it was a great experience! Thanks to everyone!

“Peaceful stay at bamby chilling”

I had a lovely stay at bamby chilling house. The location is incredible, it is on the river and was the most peaceful place I've stayed. I slept so well here. Town is just a short walk away but I ate at the bamby chilling a lot as I found their veg Thali the best I'd tried in the area. I will definitely come back and stay here!

“Amazing little nature stay!”

The location right on the river was fabulous- surrounded by wildlife. Each bedroom Hut had their own little balcony looking out and there were plenty of seats around the property to chill out on and watch the wildlife go by. Although it is a more basic property it was undoubtably value for money and my room was totally comfortable.

“Great location to relax”

This is a lovely place to relax by the river. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The food is very good too. I was ill while we were staying here and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful.
