Wish we could have stayed longer

We had a wonderful stay at this charming farmhouse. The hosts were welcoming, making us feel right at home. The house was spotless and beautifully furnished with original pieces, full of unique details that reflect its rich history. We truly enjoyed our time here.

Had a wonderful stay. Everything was so pretty clean and tidy! The owners were lovely people and they made us a very filling breakfast and stayed and chatted with us. It’s a guesthouse with a lot of history, you should definitely stay here and get to know it! I absolutely recommend it. P.S. amazing location for aurora watching as well (if the weather allows it).

What can I say… this was by far the best stay we had in Iceland. Due to the weather, we arrived much earlier than planned and ended up getting snowed in – but honestly, there couldn’t have been a better place for it to happen. This guesthouse has such a special charm. It’s warm, welcoming, beautifully maintained, and truly feels like a real Icelandic home. Berglind and Finnbogi were incredibly kind and hospitable. When we got stuck, they welcomed us with the most wonderful homemade Icelandic supper – something so genuine and heartfelt, it’s hard to put into words. It was one of those moments that make a trip unforgettable. On top of that, Finnbogi personally cleared the snow for us so we could safely leave the property – such a thoughtful and generous gesture that really shows how much they care about their guests. The shared bathroom facilities were spotless, well organised, and more than sufficient for everyone – everything was thoughtfully arranged. We also absolutely loved the handmade Icelandic jumpers available to buy – such a unique and special touch. This is not just a place to stay – it’s a true Icelandic experience. We will definitely be back. If you’re looking for something authentic, cosy, and memorable – book this place. You won’t regret it 🤍

“Warm and welcoming farm stay with charm and serenity”

I really enjoyed my stay at this guesthouse and its hosts, Berglind and Finnbogi. The location was peaceful and quiet on a Iceland farm; perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The house itself has a charming, historic feel that adds to the overall experience. Breakfast was excellent, with homemade rye bread and banana bread that I highly recommend. The hosts were very helpful to all guests talking to us over breakfast and giving us advice before our day's adventures. This is a lovely place to stay if you're looking for comfort and character in a serene setting.

Here we could really enjoy Icelandic life with a lot of sheep around. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, The owner is super friendly , the house is clean and has a nice design. We had a beautiful landscape view from the room if there is a good aurora forecast this is a great place to see it. Felt like at home. They are also selling icelandic sweaters for an affordable price.

“Cozy, clean family run guesthouse!”

Nice, cozy family run guesthouse with an old-world charm inside the house. The house has all the necessary amenities and is well maintained and clean. The location is also lovely with horses and sheep next to the property.

A lot of bloodsuckers at night that bit us. We couldn’t figure out what they were, but they were very small flies.

A real Icelandic house with classic furniture. Fantastic view of the plains below. Three very clean bathrooms. Interesting books in the common room. Overall, it was a positive experience.

“Good stay”

The guesthouse is located on a farm, the house itself was very beautiful and authentic, and the views were amazing. The sitting room was very nicely decorated, it had lots of books and maps. The kitchen was big and had everything you need. The whole house was well heated and the hot water was perfect. It also has a jacuzzi with a great view that you can use for free. We met some wonderful fellow travellers there, the house really brings people together!

Tipical english countryside house, the owners are very kindly , breakfast is good. The flat includes a full equipped kitchen. The location is amazing
