“Very nice cosy house, beautiful view, we had a great stay!”

Perfect place to stay, besutiful view, cosy house, very nice hottub! Children liked it very much, there is a nice playground near the shop. Wished we could have stayed longer

Excellent place to stay with the family. Three-bedroom house nicely hosted six of us. It is up the hill with only some sheep around you - privacy guaranteed. And upon arrival, the hot tub was ready to be used. Thank you so much, Helga, for the stay and visit to your farm!

Located in a valley with no neighbours, veey quiet

“Great location”

Fantastic location in the hill with no other houses nearby. Perfect place for Northern lights. House is 100 meters beyond what the Google map suggests. Parking at door step. Nice hot tub with hot water. Kitchen is well equipped. Washing machine and Dish washer convenient. House is nice and warm. Can go for a round trip of West from here. Some of the lights were not working and slight air leak from windows may be an issue in winter and so will be the access road. There are 3 bedrooms but only one bathroom.

“The best place in the world”

We were looking forward to this place our whole trip. We had quite high expectations for this place. Our expectations got far exceeded. We could have never expected how perfect this is going to be. The cottage is rustically designed which gives off such a nice and cosy vibe. It is so hard to describe this place. To really get what I mean you would have to stay there for a night. The host has a farm which is located around 800m away from the cottage. As we stayed there in winter everything was packed with snow, you really cant imagine how nice it looked almost like in a Disney movie. The host family is so extremely nice and kind hearted, the felling of being welcomed is overwhelming. You are even able to visit the barn with the owners or without them. There you can cuddle with some nearly born calfs and see how the farm life works. Such a great and authentic experience. When visiting the barn you are also able to visit the barn shop of the family which only opens for you. There you can get so nice things. We did some shopping for our dinner there. The quality of the food is out of this world. You can also get some traditionally Icelandic hoodies for such a great deal. They are locally made and stunning. And when visiting the shop even in winter time, you have to try the ice cream. There they sell the best ice cream you can imagine. I have eaten a lot of great ice cream all over the world already but nothing can come close to this one. Every flavor they offer is more than delicious, but the best ice cream in the world is the salted caramel one. When you try it you wont want any other ice-cream in your life. After dinner we checked out the hot tub in front of the cottage. Due to it being winter it was quite cold and completely dark outside, but the water had such a great temperature. When chilling in there you feel like a king especially with the view you get and due to the low light pollution there you can see the best night sky. Its breathtaking.

“Fantastic accomodation”

A perfect, easy-to-find cottage, large and cosy, with all the ammenities and even a hot tub. The beds are large and cosy with elegant linens. The host is very responsive and kind. Definitely the best accomodation in our 14-days road trip!

The cottage was very homey and had everything we needed. The hot tub was filled for our arrival with Geothermal water and was a nice way to relax after our flight and long day of travel!! They were also very kind to open their farm storefront for us to let us buy some of their yummy ice cream and goodies.

It's a bit dark and no lamp but the host gave us clear instructions. It's a very cozy cottage with laundry and dish washers. No light so can see clear northern light.

Such a relaxing location. Loved being around the working farm and such a delightful valley. Had all the failures our group needed, the beds were very comfy and everything was super clean. The hot tub was a nice bonus.

“Fairyland property!”

This spacious cottage is located in a beautiful mountains area, near to a cow farm. it has everything you need for a very pleasant vacation, even a hot tub outside, to watch northern light from. The owners are very friendly and they provide us a lot of useful info. Highly recommended!

“Nice cottage in the very quiet area”

The cottage is located in a very quite area, it’s very spacious and well equipped. You can relax in the hot tube with very nice view, it’s great after a long way and before the next intensive day. We stayed there for one night, before our trip to Western Fiords. It was a great stop!

Large, well equipped and comfortable property with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, best enjoyed from the hot tub. Good communication with the owner with instructions on access.

Great host, they also run a diary farm, got to visit it, perfect with kids. The hot tub was also warm when we arrived, great way to relax after the drive.

The room I slept in had possibly the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. Cannot recommend it enough and I wish we could have stayed longer. The hot tub was spacious and the living room and kitchen had everything you might need. The bathroom was modern and very clean.
