Our stay at the villa in Sassoferrato was truly delightful. The villa, rich in historic charm, was clean and cozy, offering a perfect blend of authenticity and comfort. Our host, Gianni, welcomed us warmly with gifts of local wine and pasta, making us feel right at home. While it’s a bit far from the sea, the villa is surrounded by fascinating attractions that more than make up for it. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the nearby historic sites and picturesque landscapes. Overall, our experience was wonderful. Gianni’s hospitality and the villa’s charm made for an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a unique and delightful retreat in Italy.

“Forget Tuscany, come to Marche instead!”
The house fit to all our wishes for a perfect holiday – it is spacious, nicely furnished, with huge and well-maintained garden, easy parking and many possibilities to have a trip and see the country (mountains or the sea), or just to relax. Our dogs also enjoyed a lot this place, they could run and play free. The small hamlet which this house belongs to, mostly abandoned and the traffic is minimal, very quiet and tranquil location (shops and restaurants within 15 mins drive), lots of birds are singing and we watched the fireflies too (in June) outside. The hosts are very helpful and they stay in touch when you need them. Sassoferrato itself is an interesting town to walk around, and also we have visited Gubbio, the seaside at Senigallia (free dog beach near Marotta for a short splash), Urbino, Gualdo Tadino, the nature reserve of Gola del Furlo, and climbed to the peak of Monte Cucco for the breathtaking views. We can recommend also the restaurant Le Due Sorelle just behind the next hill, amazing dishes for very good price-value rate, wish we went there earlier and not just on our last evening for dinner. There´re many brochures in a basket on the living room table for programs or places for eating out which we found also very helpful (and realize how short is one week to discover this wonderful area!). Grazie mille, Claudia and Gianni to make this possible, hopefully we come back again!
