Overview
Set amongst 2 acres of gardens and nestled amongst beautiful 100-year-old trees, 2 out of 3 beautiful cottages features a gas/log fireplace, spa baths, fully equipped kitchens, dining areas and private outdoor patios. Each cottage at Clarendon Cottages features a flat-screen TV, DVD/CD player and a radio. All cottages are private and self-contained. Heating and air conditioning are included. Free WiFi is provided and guests have access to laundry and barbecue facilities. Located in the Dandenong Ranges National Park, Clarendon Cottages Sassafras are only 5 km from Mt Dandenong and just 1.5 km from the centre of Sassafras village. Free on-site car parking is provided. The internationally renowned wineries of the Yarra Valley are only 30 minutes’ drive away. It is a 10-minute drive to Upper Ferntree Gully Train Station and to Puffing Billy Steam Train.

“Great weekend away for couple”
We stayed in the Dovecote cottage which was lovely and cosy. We enjoyed the continental breakfast supplied for our stay. The bed was comfortable. Lots of extras supplied. View from our window.

“Great central place in the hills”
Out stay was lovely. The cabin was as a lot smaller than I anticipated, but it didn’t really bother us. My only issue was no running water downstairs and no rail on the stairs. But we would go back and the hosts made sure our stay was excellent.

“A very Special Place to unwind”
A truly delightful cottage in a great setting, with bushland and Rosellas and Cockatoos ready to eat seeds from your hand. It would be impossible not to relax here and it is just a short drive from all that the Dandenongs has to offer, including some terrific restaurants. Breakfast is provided, though you cook it yourself, and the Fridge was stuffed with all sorts of goodies. Excellent valueAnd it would be impossible to have more considerate owners as your hosts
