The hotel was phenomenal from start to finish. We travelled to Sasbachwalden for the gluten free Christmas market since I have celiac disease. The gluten free breakfast exceeded my expectations, the variety was great, there was a coffee machine ready to use, fresh vegetables, fruit, yoghurt, we could ask for eggs if we wanted to, and the breakfast room was always very clean and comfortable. The rooms were fantastic, the sauna and spa area as well as the pool were exceptionally clean, equipped with showers and toilets, and open for 24 hour use. We got spa towels and bathrobes from the reception for 5€ per person and could use them throughout our stay. There was also a little “break room” where coffee, tea, and cocoa as well as cake (including gluten free!) were available free of charge every day between 12:00 and 18:00. Cold drinks and snacks were also available for a charge and always fresh. The staff was very kind and accommodating, offering to give us tips for the area as well as showing us around the hotel. We arrived later than planned due to traffic on our first day, after which we received a very quick response upon reaching out and we could check in through a key box instead. The hotel also had amazing views and is just a short drive (or walk!) away from the town center and just a few kilometers from the next, slightly bigger town (Achern). The restaurants in the area were phenomenal (especially Gasthaus Bischenberg with its fully gluten free menu!) and we greatly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back!

The room I had was spacious and plenty of room for me and my motorcycle gear. The staff were all very polite and helpful. There was a very good explanation of the facilities on arrival. The pool was open and there was a sauna for guest use. There is not a bar per se but an area where you can serve yourself drinks and pay later and coffee and tea available. The local village is down the hill where there are good German restaurants however if you are not very mobile then walking down hill is ok, but it is very steep on the return.

Surrounded by nature, and run by kind and charming people (and two lovely dogs), RelaxHotel Tannenhof is a wonderful place to treat yourself and enjoy beautiful sunsets among vineyards. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and quiet. I stayed in a nicely decorated, comfortable, well-equipped single room with a beautiful view of the vineyards. I found the breakfast complete; it had gluten-free options, the chance to order fresh dishes, and could also be enjoyed on the terrace. The pool (also with a nice view) and sauna were open 24h (I loved this!) and very clean. For outside activities, there are many paths nearby to do some hiking and cute towns to visit. Looking forward to staying here again someday!

“A wonderful place to stay, hike the vineyards and Black Forestand relax”

Fabulous location with stunning views. The room was huge with exceptionally comfortable beds. Good strong shower. The staff were all amazing and so very helpful. Our luggage was lost and flights were cancelled but the reception staff were truly amazing at helping us. The cleaning staff kept everything spotless and even provided a lighter duvet on request. The breakfast team made lovely eggs and kept the buffet well stocked. We used the pool and sauna and the sun deck had breathtaking views to end the day. We were the only Brits around and sadly we don't speak German but all the staff at the hotel and locals in restaurants were so kind and helpful. We were even given free bus and train cards to go off and explore without the car.
