“Wonderful stay!”

We had a wondetful stay. The cottages,are very nice and the people friendly. Its about 3 min by car to the sea, so around 10 min walk. Its quiet. There is a communal kitchen and fridge, which comes in handy if you stay longer.

“Lovely wooden cabins near Sarteneja”

Excellent wooden cabins on stilts. Kitchen facilities, microwave, hob etc, in separate building. Great Wi-Fi. Friendly and helpful French owner Natalie as were the cleaning staff. The cabins are located around 15 minutes walk from Sarteneja fishing village. If you are arriving by local bus the bus driver will drop you off around 200 metres from the cabins on the main road, you can also catch the return bus at the same location. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place! Surrounded by nature and calm, the bungalows have a very comfy beds and nice cozy decoration. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The common kitchen is useful to prepare some simple food. We enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave. Thank you Nathalie:)

Horse Cottage is really off-the-beaten path and Sarteneja I bet is a hidden gem among Belize panorama. If you’re looking for an authentic experience within Belize you should pick this place. Nathalie was nice and available in sharing tips and information. My bungalow had a decent space, and clean with eye-detailed furniture. I particularly appreciated the outdoor spaces with palm and other fruits trees, the horses and the shared space featuring a kitchen with good coffee and real Italian moka machine.

Peaceful location 15 minutes walk from Sarteneja. Friendly, helpful staff. Shared area with water, hot drinks and stove. Good place to stay whilst checking out the village. Bus from Corozal dropped me off at the location.

It was so peaceful! Perfect place to hang out and just relax. Loved the sound of the birds in the morning. The hosts are amazing, too!

Lovely room with great facilities, and community sitting area with kitchen, in bird, iguana, butterfly and of course horse filled gardens. Natalie was a wonderful host, helping with anything. It is on the edge of town, so we made good use of the bicycles she lends guests for free.

“Perfect”

An absolute paradise! My cabin was awesome, bed was super-comfy, the wifi worked really well everywhere on the property, the kitchen is also great. It's a perfect place for relax in the nature - you can see iguanas and dozens of birds in the garden every day, plus there's a path right next to the house where you can walk or go for a run, surrounded by the jungle. I also felt super-safe walking around on my own. The owner, Nathalie, is the nicest person ever, not only she picked me up but she also drove me to the village to catch my early morning boat (which she also booked for me!). I stayed longer than I originally planned and didn't wanna leave. Can recommend this place for 300%!

The owner Nathalie is an extraordinary helpful host. Can help you with everything around Sarteneja. Quite and relaxing place and super good organized. Kitchen has the things you need. The stay includes bikes that you can use.

The location, between the village of Sarteneja (5min by bycle) and the jungle ..!! Really peacefull place, great Vibes and the horses are quiet fun ! Naty take care of you and will recommend good addresses in town! We feel so comfortable that we would like not to leave from horse cottage! I will come back for sure !

“Magical, want to return!!!!!”

I cannot express just how wonderful staying at Horse Cottage was. From the moment I arrived I loved it. Nathalie is an incredible hostess and has thought of everything you could need to enjoy your stay, both in the cabins and the lovely communal kitchen area, including a Bialetti moka pot! She gives brilliant suggestions on what to do and where to eat, and even organised a takeaway delivery on my first night. The bed has the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. You can watch birds from the hammocks and it is just the perfect place to do nothing and relax. There are free bikes for the slow 5 minute ride into the village. I can't recommend it highly enough, Horse Cottage and Sarteneja are just magic. I stayed an extra night and wish my travel plans could have been extended to allow me to stay longer. If you do stay I highly recommend a guided tour of the area with Lindi, Nathalie can pass her details on and it was a brilliant way to spend a morning seeing places I never would have known existed without her!

Perfect place to calm down for a few days. Very relaxing and beautiful. You got to like horses and dogs though as the lovely animals at the Horse Cottage are pretty curious. :)

Very good host!

When I stayed at Wild Horse Cottage I had been travelling for 3 month already and I have to say that my stay there was one of the best during my travels. The cottage I stayed in was very clean, comfi bed and airy. Even though the bathroom is outside I would definitely recommend it. Because it is high up you do not have any bugs in the room, which is a huge pro. The owner was so very welcoming and super lovely. She picked me up anx gave me a ride to the bus station.

Natalie provides you with bicycles and any help & tips when needed. Cottages are very clean and spaceous.
