Overview
This hotel is located on the village square in Sare, 16 km from Saint-Jean-de-Luz and its beaches. It offers rooms distributed between 3 traditional 16th-century houses and free Wi-Fi. Each guest room at the Arraya is individually decorated and features a TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. Some rooms open onto the garden and some have views of the village square. Our room was excellent. A large and comfortable sleeping area and bathroom with all the facilities you could want. The building is very old and has lots of character, The breakfast was excellent and our hosts were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay memorable.

We stayed at Hotel Arraya in the lovely village of Sare and absolutely loved it! 💛 This charming historic house is run by a wonderful family whose warmth and hospitality made us feel truly at home. Everything is cared for with so much love and attention. The restaurant is excellent, and the location is perfect for exploring the Basque Country and the Pyrenees. The only thing we didn’t like was having to leave. 😊 We’d love to come back and highly recommend this beautiful place!

Great old hotel with modern updates. Good Spar supermarket nearby. Restaurant was disappointing as the menu lacked beef or lamb. Other Australians staying said the same. Fancy food but disappointing. Great location.

This hotel has everything - ambience, comfort, modern facilities, gracious hosts. the property was historical but with modern updates. the pool was perfect. when we arrived, tired from a long day of hiking, Laurence suggested changing our room to one with a bath so we could soak our tired feet. so thoughtful! The food at the restaurant was fantastic too. The chef puts both heart and ingenuity into his dishes.

“A relaxing two nights which was welcomed after a 1000kms drive.”
Very friendly staff - even though there was clearly a lot happening with the village concert that weekend. Rooms to a very high standard - we were warned the concert might be noisy, but the double glazing worked a treat to keep the noise out. We were a party of three - and the third bed was a proper bed - not a temporary camp bed - so my daughter was happy. Bathroom facilities are great - interesting Italian-style shower and everything one would need and expect. We only ate breakfast - and it was good and we were able to ask for extras if we wanted.
