Had a really great stay at Saranda International Hotel. The staff were amazing, super kind, attentive, and incredibly helpful. They genuinely made us feel like VIPs, always checking in on us whenever they saw us and making sure everything was going well. Breakfast had plenty of variety, so there was always a good selection to choose from each morning. Our room faced the sea, which was beautiful. It wasn’t a full sunset view, but still more than nice enough to enjoy. The hotel also has its own private beach, which looked very clean and well kept. Overall, a really enjoyable stay with excellent service, great views, and a welcoming atmosphere.

“The manager was rude, the security was bad and the bathroom smelt”

The biggest problem with our stay is after the room was cleaned we came back to find the cleaner had left our ground floor balcony door completely open. There is no safe so all our important possessions, passport etc has been left in our room and could have all been stolen. The hotel staff said this is normal for them to allow air into the room and did not think it was a problem. The lady who appeared to be the hotel manager, dressed in her own clothes made me feel very unwelcome and I found her to be very rude. When we needed help with another guest as there had been a small parking accident she continued to talk behind my back to the other guest in Albanian and wouldn’t translate. When we needed help to call the police for a report she refused to help translate and told us to make the call ourselves. We were placed in the garden room which is actually the basement so all morning we were woken to the sound of the breakfast tables being arranged above. The biggest problem with our room was there was a terrible smell from the bathroom and the pillows were very uncomfortable.
