The location was okay - not in the center but it was fine, since everything is near. The promenade is a 20 minute walk. Deluxe double room in the A part of the hotel was wonderful. Our housekeeper was AMAZING - the sweetest woman, thank you so-so much for keeping the room in an extraordinary condition and for being the kindest (I hope these words make it to the housekeeper as well). The pool area was crowded but wasnt necessarily disturbing - the pools and the beach was nice. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff were all nice and helpful. I was a bit scared about the reviews saying this isn’t a good hotel, but our time at Bougainville was wonderful and we would definitely visit again. Of course there were some small mistakes/problems (for example a small problem with the AC, which was fixed), but the whole positive experience definitely outweighs the small negatives. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

“Do NOT book if you’re planning to use the gym”
Bedroom and bathroom were clean and of good quality. Breakfast was ok, with a nice man making omelettes. Nice to have had a parking garage (although €12 per day) as the street in front of the hotel was very busy and narrow. The restaurant staff and parking staff were friendly.

The hotel had a stunning sea view and the environment was very clean. The staff was welcoming and always ready to help. The pools were beautiful and relaxing, and the restaurant served delicious food with a good variety.

“Never ever recommended to anyone -very dissatisfied and disappointed”
**Title:** Very Disappointed – Not Worth the Price I stayed at Bougainville Bay Hotel and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The pool was completely out of service, and when I asked about it, they said it was “seasonal.” However, this was **not mentioned anywhere** during booking. If we had known the pool was closed, we would never have paid such a high price for this hotel. The reception claims to be 24/7, but when I called the landline number they provided (9#), **no one answered**. I had to walk down to reception myself, and when I arrived, the staff admitted they had turned off the phone because the ringtone was “too loud.” That’s simply unacceptable for a hotel claiming round-the-clock service. The air conditioning was another issue — it only worked in **heating mode**, making the room uncomfortably hot. The only option was to open the windows, but they opened only a small amount, which didn’t help much. Overall, **very dissatisfied and disappointed**. Without a working pool, poor service, and uncomfortable rooms, this hotel is **not worth the money**. I would not recommend staying here until these issues are properly addressed.
