Overview
Featuring a rooftop terrace, Untapped Hostel offers both private and dormitory-style rooms. Free WiFi is accessible in all areas. Kita 18-jo Subway Station is a 1-minute walk away. Rooms at the Untapped Hostel are fitted with wooden beds. Beds in dormitory rooms are provided with reading lights and privacy curtains. Bathrooms and toilets are shared. Guests can freely use the shared lounge and kitchen areas at the hostel. A laundry machine, safety deposit box and luggage storage is available at this hostel. The on-site restaurant on the ground floor is open for lunch and dinner hours (closed every Tuesday & Wednesday), and serves drinks and Japanese homemade dishes. Every morning, we also offer a light breakfast from 8:00 to 9:30 without a reservation. We also open an independent bookstore named "Seesaw Books" behind Untapped Hostel. You can get many types of unique books, zine, craft beers and some coffee. From the hostel, JR Sapporo Station is a 5-minute subway ride away. The hostel is a 5-minute walk to Hokkaido University, and New Chitose Airport can be reached within a 40-minute train ride.

“Excellent hostel”
Great location, really close to a subway stop. Staff were friendly and helpful whenever I needed them. Lovely cafe for breakfast downstairs. Dorm was comfortable, lots of privacy, bed was comfy with storage space as well. Bathrooms were very clean, shower rooms perfect with an anteroom for changing and hanging clothes. Would happily come back again!

“Cosy, Comfy Hostel with a Lovely Atmosphere”
Great location, lovely vibe with fireplace, cosy bed shaped like a tiny little room. Get the breakfast, it’s the best I’ve had in Hokkaido! Everything is homemade with true care. I had a lovely time here, and I truly believe this is the best hostel in Sapporo. P-S: The hostel is right near Any Cafe which makes killer fluffy pancakes!

Nice trendy and clean design with spacious individual pods in the dorm and a nice cafe on the ground floor. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Shogo in particular was so welcoming and kind, really helped us plan out bus and train times and arrange our day trips from Sapporo, and gave some really excellent recommendations! We had a wonderful stay!

“Comfy minimalist hostel in university district!”
The location is right beside Hokkaido University so the neighborhood is very quiet, especially at night. The hostel also operates a popular cafe so there are options for breakfast and dinner. While there is minimal interaction with hostel staff during my stay, they did hold a seasonal party right outside during my last evening so there was that memorable moment with them at the end.

We could leave our bag for a bit after check-out. Staff was nice and friendly and helped us. The metro station is very close. The bus stop for otaru is also very close. The decoration is nice. There is a social area and a small kitchenette on the second floor.

“Nicest hostel experience in Sapporo”
My best hostel experience in Hokkaidō. Great location, 1 minute away from the subway station, in the centre of Sapporo under 15 minutes. The dorm is well designed with plenty of space to store (but not lock) backpacks etc. The staff in general is really helpful, and Mika in particular is stellar!
