“Richmond Hotel Sapporo Ekimae is always my first choice in Sapporo”

This is my third stay in Richmond during my entire month's trip in Hokkaido. I have not been able to book my second and third stay before I left Europe, so I kept checking and finally got the rooms and am so pleased with all the services and hospitality from the very friendly and polite staff. I have already reviewed after my first stay, as mentioned in my previous review, I have stayed in the Richmond Hotel since the year 2000's and they have never disappointed me. This time, I messaged them before our arrival and informed them of my ETA and the car type I rented, and upon our arrival they have already helped arrange the carparking space for our rental car. Their helpfulness and great arrangement really exceeded our expectation. I must thank all the staff here for everything they have helped us through, which made all our three stays during this Hokkaido trip seamless and easy. About the hotel: -location: within walking distance between Sappporo Train Station and Susukino, excellent location -breakfast: 5 options to choose from, full set Japanese breakfast with grilled fish, full set Sashimi breakfast with Salmon and Salmon Roe, Crab Porridge breakfast set, Western Breakfast set, and Kids set. I always choose the full grilled fish set, you can opt for less rice if you find the set large -amenities: amenities available at the reception area, just take what u need -language: this trip amazes me as most of their staff speaks very good English, I have to specifically praise two male staff who checked us in during our first stay on 30 May, and our last stay on 16 June, their hospitality and professionalism gives me great comfort despite we were very tired after a long flight on 30 May and after a long road trip on 16 June

Is near the city centre, close to the nearest train station, and spacious for us and it fits our 2 large suitcases and 1 cabin size suitcase and still plenty of room left!

The staff is amazing. We stayed there for two nights and when we checked out, we realized that we left our iPods in the room. We contacted the property and the staff immediately found it and offered to ship it to anywhere in Japan for us. they were super helpful and really went beyond the normal service standards.

Great breakfast, unless you only eat continental style. But three very happy eaters.

The breakfast menu is very good. The food is always warm and served nicely on the plate. One of their servants who was performed outstanding service to us. She whose hair cut is short had very good hospitality having nice chit chat with our toddler while serving our order.

“Comfortable and good location”

Excellent location. Bus from the airport stopped very close to the hotel. Self service amenities bar was nice and well stocked. Room was relatively spacious compared to some other Japanese hotels. Room had everything that we needed. Filtered water dispenser was also a nice bonus. TV and easy connection to streaming services. Staff were friendly and helped to receive my parcel. They also had a handy tool to help with translation.
