“Amazing Spot”

The area is nice, quiet and clean. Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious, in summary we all enjoyed our stay and wish we stayed longer. The place is suitable for families/ single people, it is also close to the beach, the best supermarket in the island where you can find everything just like in Europe. There is a petrol station which is considered the best in the island and many other countless facilities that are incomparable. I would like to thank you guys for everything. I will sure be back more times.

This area is very safe, surrounded by embassies, and the host is truly exceptional. He speaks excellent English and even arranged a customized South Tour and Island–North Tour for me. He is intelligent, flexible, and adapts the itinerary perfectly to your timing. His mother also cooked dinner for me — a delicious and authentic local meal that I appreciated so much. If you plan to stay here, don’t forget to ask him to arrange your tours; he genuinely offers the best options. The room is clean, tidy, air-conditioned, and has hot water. It’s an excellent choice overall.

The guesthouse is a "perfect choice" with a great location, clean rooms, tasty food, and helpful owners. It's close to the beach and quiet. The view to the airport is stunning. I do recommend for families and also solo travellers who wish to come to this wonderful island. The owner has helped me with everything, from the tours with him, the free pick up and drop off at the airport, the best restaurants that he has taken me and so on.

We did not have neither running water in the toilet nor at some point electricity...

“Cheap option in the center”

Central location and good wifi. Kawan helped us with airport transfer in Sao Tome and also in Principe. There is a good supermarket nearby. Sometimes there is a kettle available, and also some plates and mugs.

I had a nice experience at Monteiro Paradise Guesthouse. The place is well-maintained and has a pleasant atmosphere. The location is very convenient, walkable from the city center, which made it easy to explore the area without needing transport. What really stood out to me were the owners. They are very welcoming, friendly and always ready to help. Whether I had a question or needed anything, they were quick to assist and made me feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay with warm, attentive hosts!

My first time to be in Africa and was the best experience I've ever had, the people/ food/ beautiful places and specially the staff and the owner of guest house. When I arrived I was picked by the owner at the aiport free of charge. Also he managed all my trip from the amazing tours I had, local events, best food places and most hidden watefalls, therefore I want to thank him because he went extra mile and without him things wouldn't be the same. His exchange rates and tour prices was the best I could finde, very affordable and reliable. Just to let people know that only 6 percent of the population speaks english, therefore I was lucky to find the place/owner. I recommend this place and all the services for anybody coming for the first time.

“Cancelled réservation on the day of our arrival with out notice”

They canceled our reservation on the day of our arrival and we had to urgently find another place to stay. We found out about this after searching more than 1 hour for the entrance of the house in a gloomy neighbourhood. Very stressful expérience, I do not recommend.

The host Kwame is a great guy. He is readily available to assist with everything you need. He guided me in everything I needed, and directed me to people who helped me see the beauty of the Island. The accommodation is clean. The staff are very helpful, even with the language barrier. I needed the WiFi for my work and the speed was good. I recommend Monteiro's guest house to anyone visiting Sao Tome. The hospitality is top-notch.

The space it is very peaceful, really good for people looking for rest. The guest house has one of the most beautiful views of the island in which you can see the stunning bay, cabras island, airport (flights coming and leaving the island) and others. The place it is very close to the best and biggest european supermarket in which you feel like you are in Europe as you can get everything from there. There is one restaurant 20 seconds from the front door, the neighbors are very simpatique, the people working and staying in the guest house are the most lovely I've ever met. In the mornings I was always offered by them plenty coconut, papayas, soursops and mangos which were planted in the garden. I was picked up and dropped off from and to the airport at free cost, which was amazing. The owner any time I needed exchanged some euros and pounds, which was the highest rate that I was able to find in the island.

Arrived at the International Airport in Sao Tome,the owner was waiting with a sign with my name on it. On the way to the Guest house I had the pleasure to listen to some Santomean music. Upon arrival I noticed that there is a beach close by I was given a room with a magical view. I enjoyed every moment of my stay . The owner of the guest house is also a local tour guide so had the opportunity to visit some stunning places on this beautiful Island and also helped me to exchange money, and buy affordable local products. Happy to recommend other people to visit the Island and stay at Monteiro Paradise Guest House.
