Cozy and welcoming, full of character and personality, as a respite from the busy-ness and anonymizing concrete and highrise buildings of Av Paulista. Natural light everywhere and well-ventilated spaces make the pousada a super comforting place to return to after the dust and grime of streets. (Features include: indoor greenery, outdoor garden + more plants in propagation, woodwork, shared kitchen & laundry, eclectic library, dining room, house cat named Porridge. One can leave the bedroom windows open and hear next to zero traffic noise, which was a godsend after having spent 5 days on R. Cincinato.) The friendly front desk staff are all polyglots - minimum of ingles e portugues, plus a combination of espanhol, frances, italiano - within 5 minutes of chatting you can feel like you've known each other for 5 years. Owner Letti and family are very much present and make sure to work at least as many shifts as the rest of the team. Their aim is well fulfilled, "queremos ser uma extensão de sua casa," where you can feel free to be yourself when lounging in the common spaces. Walking in Morro dos ingleses and Bixiga feels quite safe even at sundown, since it is primarily residential with three elementary schools, two churches, a pediatric hospital, and numerous Italian/fusion eateries within a 10min radius. For groceries, there is a mercado Dia down the back alley and a large Pão de Açúcar 10-15min away, plus probably other small cash-only shops. One more street over (Rocha) you have a couple coffeeshops, a chicken place, and a tiny bookshop; on the side of 13 de maio next to the Bixiga staircase you have a magical little bookstore+community-gathering place called Na Nuvem ("the Cloud"). Small touches like impromptu Halloween decorations for the grandkid remind you that the casa particular team wishes to provide to the guests an ambience and level of care no less than what they would offer in their own home.

We just stayed there for one night and left quite early the next day. The location and staff was quite nice, especially the breakfast seemed to be decent which we unfortunately had to skip. The Pousada is a quite simple place, for short term stays in São Paulo adequate, for longer stays I'd recommend a more comfortable place. In general I can recommend it!

The staff, where very friendly,helpful and flexible.they have great contacts, If you have a big group or lots of suitcase (as we did) they can sort out taxi and drivers on arrival and take you to the accommodation. Even found you a driver for your need during your stay. Felt super safe. Great food selectionfor breakfast. Some snacks and drinks available to purchase as well. Close to walk to main road shops malls and plaza to pick from. We would stay there again any time we are in that are...the ambience/ retreat feel is on point, different seating areas. Its not a new building and paint isnt fresh, but its a great accommodation. Can't thank all the staff enough for making our visit to Brazil so memorable.

I loved my stay here. Everyone was so so friendly and welcoming. I felt safe at all time and got even invited to have a breakfast at arrival (which I really didn't expect). The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was always clean. Thanks for making my stay in Sao Paulo so enjoyable! :)

The staff was amazing, very helpful and patiently explained everything via Google translate because they don't speak English. The lounge and all the public facilities are very pretty and cozy. The location is 12 min. Walking to Av. Paulista.
