“Gambia on my mind.”

We were two people looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle. The tourist season was slowly ending. Our apartment had everything we needed. There was a fan, mosquito nets on the windows, and kitchen facilities. We used the pool, and the garden was inviting. The beach was 40-minute walk away. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner. The flavors of Gambian, Nigerian and Italian cuisine blended. We ate some of the best oysters. But Unique Owl isn't just a place, it's a feeling. The owner, Engha, has created the atmosphere of a home You want to return to. And if You're looking for a guide to the Gambia, ask for Ebrima. Thank You to all the staff.

Inga and her partner Marco are the charming owners of Unique Owl Apartments. I spent two nights there and felt very comfortable. The breakfast is very generous, and Inga caters to all kinds of requests. The apartment has excellent beds and is superbly equipped with a kitchen and bathroom. Inga even helped me with a personal matter. The location is also wonderful; you can walk to a well-known beach in about 40 minutes via very quiet side streets. I would book this accommodation again and hope to return soon.

I loved the peaceful environment, the gras, flowers and birds. The host is very lovely and treats you like family. I also enjoyed the fresh wind that comes through your window at night time I havent experienced quiet and cool nights like this in any other accomodations in Gambia. Also very nice that everything is solar powered, the regular national powercuts dont affect you at all. I recommend this!

It felt like coming home.. the family is very kind and helpfull.. we walked with them the 1st day to the beach and had a great time.. Engha have always time for a little chat.. the location, room and garden is beautiful.. fresh fruit like papaya and banana from the garden. Apartment is big and is complete with fridge , and super clean! See you next time as we want definitely come back! 🤗

the place, the environment, the good living of the facilities, hot water, kitchen, fridge and television (rare to see in other places) everything has been very good. It's a good place for birdwatchers with a very good biodiversity of birds in his garden and nearly the appartments

The best place in Gambia. I had a very clean, nice room, the breakfast was the best I had in Africa/Gambia. ENGHA, she is such a friendly host. I will come back again. The place is very silence and clean, there is a beautiful garden, you can sit in the shadow and you have your breakfast outside, when you want. I M SO HAPPY HERE.

Clean and comfortable with super friendly staff and owners. The breakfast was exceptionally good…. Freshly squeezed juice, homemade delicious pastry, a unique and delicious ‘ fried eggs with a twist’ dish and fresh coffee. Wow! And Ingar the owner is absolutely charming.

A lovely and calm place close to Sanyang leaded by a more than awsome couple. House is cool, even without AC...very clean place...very attentive stuff - they open the gate before you have even a chance to beep...with solar paneels very ecofriendly... Really highly recommanded stay!
