“Great place to stay especially if you want to experience how real gambians live it isn’t the main tourist area so there”
Staff were very friendly and assisted me with whatever I needed especially the manager hassan and his assistant pa. It’s on the beach and in a semi rural area which I enjoyed because I was around actual Gambians and got to experience how they live not Africans from other countries like there is in Senegambia

“Excellent, it was everything I hoped it would be”
My stay at Mangrove exceeded my expectations, I was made to feel very welcome. Thank you to Awa, Pa and the boys who couldn’t do enough for me, I feel they are all my extended family, very sad to leave but I will be back!

Pa, the manager is a great person and he will help you everything you need, even as a guide, if you need one. And the free lift from the airport, specially if you arrive at night, is very useful. The beach in front of the hotel is great and also the cooker!!

The location is less than a minutes walk from the beach and in the heart of Sanyangs fishing community. Lots of lovely walks, swimming , drumming and local culture Mangrove Beach Lodge is a family run business. The staff go out of their way to help. On that basis alone I would visit again The price for the rooms at the lodge were affordable

The staff were amazing and did everything possible to make us comfortable and make our stay enjoyable. They set up lovely beds for us to relax on the beautiful beach and checked on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. The food is some of the best we had in The Gambia. The cook was trained with one of the most accomplished cooks in the country and every one of our meals was delicious.
