Breakfast was amazing, one of the best I've ever had in a hotel

Breakfast was exceptional. Everything was explained to us carefully and there were options to choose from a very nice menu. Ramón was specially nice to us and before leaving the hotel he gave us a free rum tasting and explained to us some of the methods and ingredients he uses at the kitchen.

Great location, safe and could walk to all places in Zona Colonial. Breakfast was unique and delicious with plenty of options! If you give them notice they can cater to coeliacs with homemade gluten free bread which was challenging to find in the city. Clean room and decor felt modern. Air conditioning available and not noisy. Taxi was arranged to and from the airport for us by the hotel which was great. We wanted to make a special mention about Ramon who we felt went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.

Pretty much everything - from the building itself to the wonderful “real” (no buffet nonsense) breakfast to the staff (friendly, attentive and efficient) to the manager (multilingual with a very sharp eye for detail).

Elegant hotel in the historic center of the city. The exquisite interior of the colonial house captivates the eye. Perfect cleanliness in the room. Supposedly a simple breakfast, but with the flavor of a fashionable restaurant. If you have any doubts about booking - do not hesitate, you will not be disappointed.

“Lovely hotel with outstanding breakfast”

Great locations, we parked easily on the street with no problems. Tastefully decorated, rooms are adequately sized, ours also had a terrace. Stand out feature is the 3 course breakfast with the chef’s outstanding attention to detail & delicious dishes.

What a beautiful hotel! Our room upstairs was lovely. The courtyard and small pool were gorgeous and the breakfast was to die for. The location is perfect for exploring the area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of visiting Santo Domingo

“Three star rating five star service”

Wow!!!! Where do I start? I don't understand why this beautiful boutique hotel is only a three star. The service from the staff, particularly Ramon, the manager, was impeccable and exemplary. He advised and gave guidance on how to navigate the colonial zone, what to see and visit, also contacted an art gallery on my behalf to find out if they they would package a painting I was interested in buying so I could take it back to the UK, to what was the best coffee to buy. and arranging currency exchange. It was like having my own personal concierge. The whole building was tastefully and thoughtfully appointed, from the well maintained original features, the artwork, natural toiletries, comfotable bed, and beautiful linen and towers. Not least the amazing breakfast. I could not fault it. I spent two nights at the Hotel Villa Colonial, having travelled from Punta Cana where I had been staying in a five-star resort. It did not compare, and I would happily travel to the Dominican Republic again, just to stay at this hotel. Simply beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing in every way. Ps the photos and description doesn’t do the hotel any justice.

The rooms were impeccably clean, and the breakfast was outstanding. I cannot compliment and thank Ramón and his team enough for their kindness, professionalism, and the effort they put into helping their guests. 10/10
