“Wonderful stay in Santo Domingo”

The suite was everything I wanted for a comfortable stay in the center of Santo Domingo. Although located on a main street in the Zona Colonial, the studio was away from all the noise, so you could enjoy the sleep at night. Everything in the app was super clean and the owner regularly kept in touch to offer cleaning and fresh towels. The mini kitchen came in very helpful, although I recommend trying out all the local restaurants around. Many thanks to the owner who was very attentive and kind and provided everything I needed. Although it was very hot (I came in a 35 degrees June), the AC managed to freshen up all the place very quickly. I warmly recommend this place and I will surely return for my future stays in Santo Domingo.

Exceptional design and attention to detail. Be prepared for a special experience while enjoying being super centrally located in the Zona Colonial. And boy it is so historic y having elements of the 16th century hospital. Staff were friendly and supportive during check-in process. Rooms had everything needed for a short or even longer stay (I don't need a TV).

I love the unique colonial design of the apartment, it adds a lot of character. The building interior looks exactly as advertised which is nice. It’s in the main tourist/ accessible area. The bed was comfortable and toilet/ shower clean.

Location, decoration, comfort! Responsiveness of the hosts. Good value for money. Has a good setup with a small kitchen, small desk to work if needed and good wifi connection!

“We would not book it again ......”

We did not like the apartment. Some nice design elements, but its dark, gets too warm and is very unpractical: two corkscrew stairs (the upper corkscrew stair is very narrow and may be difficult for some people to get up and down), numerous possibilities to bang your feet somewhere. It was very noisy, but that was to be expected in the Colonial Zone. We would not book the apartment again.

For independent travellers it hardly gets any better than this. Recommended!
