“Beautiful secret gardens in the middle of town make this place a breath of fresh air for a short stay.”
The location was in the middle of many things to do and the actual property was enormous. We loved walking around the grounds with such gorgeous landscaping and thoughtful walking paths.

“Garden Oasis in city”
Very large sprawling hotel on beautiful gardens in central Santo Domingo. Bit of an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city and a nice swimming pool. Very spacious rooms and nice showers in at least the newer ones.

The reception area looked impressive but that is where it ended. The room ( one of the expensive ones) had not been updated in Approx 30 years and it looked like a bad handyman built it. The cleanliness was really bad. Basically the whole place needs a major renovation or to be bulldozed and rebuilt. Steak at dinner was ok. Breakfast sub standard. People working there friendly and wanted to please. If this is the best hotel in town I would hate to see the worst.

“Okay, but watch out you could get ripped off like me!”
The breakfast was okay. Nothing too spectacular compared to all of the places we stayed and some of the other places were more modest. In the ad we were expecting a buffet. That happened the first day, but the second day it was service. I loved the natural background. I couldn't hear the busy road at all. I heard birds in the morning and it was very peaceful. The beds were super comfortable. The baths were clean. Parking was great and there was a guard at the hotel 24-7. One evening a host came around and provided us with courtesy chocolates. Staff were nice and courteous.
