The hostal is absolutely gorgeous and completely exceeded out expectations! We had travelled 2 days from NZ and arriving at this hostal was such a pleasant experience. It is quaint, cute, clean, and just overall had a lovely vibe. It is in a good location for the neighborhood, easy walk up the cable car and near plenty of restaurants and bars. But not a noisy area. Bed was also super comfortable! We were sad to only have one night here!

It’s so cool and cosy and the room was comfortable and gorgeous and had everything you need - including lamps, which most places we stayed lacked! The staff were super friendly, the location was near lots of restaurants etc and the breakfast was simple but good.

Perfect haven in the city. Lovely helpful staff, comfortable and clean rooms, and the garden courtyard is a great place to relax. Breakfasts are great too - homemade yoghurt and bread and decent coffee. Stayed multiple times, and would definitely come back.

The location was fantastic! Loved the Bellavista neighborhood - close to funicular, hiking, cable car restaurants, and easy walk or subway to downtown. Breakfast was great especiallyvthe homemade yoghurt.

When I was staying in Santiago I stayed in two different rooms in the Eco-Hostal Tambo Verde. Both were great with own "pros and cons". Suite with own bathroom "within the room" was upstairs. The cheaper other suite with separate but still own private bathroom was on the main ground floor with seats in front of the room in the "courtyard", which was nice. Both rooms had good heating, that was necessary to use in October nights. I think the beds, pillows and duvet covers were the most comfortable ones I have ever used. Even my own bed doesnt compete with them! The staff was excellent. Even though I was practicing my Spanish I felt comfortable talking to them either in Spanish or in English. Rooms had water bottles with filtered water. Clothes were washed with semi-perfumed detergent and were hanged to dry, which happened fast in the "courtyard". The staff warned that the drying of the clothes was dependent on the weather but I think it's great they don't use tumble dryer for it.

Absolutely lovely, quiet and friendly place, lovely Springboard to explore Santiago. Located right next to the San Cristobal hill and about 600 m to 1.5 km to major places. Very calm and friendly place, excellent free breakfast, pretty much the opposite whatever a party hostel is which I absolutely love.

Confortable clean hostel. Well Run. Great breakfast.
