“Perfect stay after a hike from Aguas Calientes”

Mario was the most kindest and helpful host. He took us to the hot springs and helped us with our collectivo back to Ollantaytambo. Mario’s home was very clean, beds very comfy and the breakfast was very filling with juice and coffee. Thank you!

Mario is a wonderful host! He made everything very easy for us and helped us do everything we wanted in the region. He kindly drove us to the hot springs and to the Hidroelectrica station, and even waited to pick us up when we returned from Machu Picchu. He also recommended an excellent restaurant just down the road and dropped us off there after our long hike from Machu Picchu, which we really appreciated. The breakfast was lovely and very filling, and the room was great value for money. We felt very well taken care of and would absolutely recommend staying with Mario.

Mario, the owner, was a very kind host. He picked us up from the bus terminal in his little motocar and took us to the Hospedaje. It was basic but clean. Beds were very comfortable and very nice hot shower. Our friend initially had a smaller windowless room but next day was offered a large room with big windows as it had become available. Breakfast was good. For a very small amount of money, Mario drove us out to Cocalmayo, the local hotsprings. He returned later to drive us to a local restaurant - Valle Santa- absolutely fantastic and reasonably priced. Great Pisco Sours. All in all Mario would qualify as a SuperHost. He was extremely attentive and , judging by the townspeople, a well known and respected man.

The host was very nice. He was very patient and we managed to communicate even though that we don’t speak Spanish and he didn’t speak English. Breakfast was excellent, avocado sandwich with egg. The host let us choose at what hour we would like to have breakfast. We could park our car right in front of our room.

Dina, the host at this lovely little Hospedaje in Santa Teresa was an absolute angel, she kindly met me in the local square, after my bus ride from Cusco, to show me the way to her well located accommodation. The room had everything I needed and I had a really comfortable night's sleep. Dina accommodated my dietary needs and made a special breakfast for me. Dina offered her partner Mario's services for the mototaxi to the ColcaMayo hot springs which were close enough to the accommodation, to enjoy a lovely long soak in the warm water. Mario was also very generous and helped organise the collectivo transport to Hydroelectrica for me. And Dina really helped me by keeping some of my luggage, and bringing it to meet the return bus, so that I did not have to carry it on my walk to Aguas Calientes, and my visit to Machu Picchu. I can really recommend Dina's friendly hospitality and her comfy guest house. It was just perfect for me. Thank you Dina, wishing you all the best.
