A beautiful, peaceful, perfect place to stay. Amazingly well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds and rooms plus lovely areas to chill out. Jean and Adrina were so welcoming and really made me feel at home and the other guests created a very friendly atmosphere. Playa carmen is less than 5 minutes down the road so perfect for sunrise surf sessions. All in all an amazing place to stay, I will definitely be coming back!

I loved everything about Casa Calocita! Booked it because someone else described it as “a home away from home”, and it definitely felt that way. Was supposed to stay 5 nights but it turned into 2 weeks and I would’ve stayed longer if possible. It’s owned by the nicest couple, the bed is super comfortable, the location great, the facilities amazing. Super relaxed. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for everything dearest Jean & Andrina 🫶

“A little sanctuary in the heart of Santa Teresa”

This place felt like a little haven tucked away just off the main road. JP and Andrina were wonderful hosts and made it feel like home whilst also giving brilliant recommendations for local restaurants and surf lessons. There was a very relaxed atmosphere throughout and everyone else staying there were lovely and friendly too which made us feel very at ease. The aesthetic was very in keeping with the overall vibe of the place and there was excellent attention to detail throughout, with all the little extras available to use in the kitchen (salt, pepper, olive oil, coffee) and delicious smelling body wash and shampoo in the ensuite bathroom. Would 100% come back here if we get the chance to return to Santa Teresa.

It was a beautiful environment, the facilities were perfect and it was a very homely feel, especially with two cute dogs chilling in the garden. Andrina was beyond brilliant and extremely accommodating.

Lovely, welcoming and helpful hosts. Charming place, with taste, simple and quiet. Super easy access, close to the beach, nice restaurants and supermarkets. Easy to meet and discuss with other guests, the party is outside so perfect balance if you are looking for somewhere to chill and still socialize a bit.

“Truly home away from home”

I have stayed in the guesthouse during Christmas and New Year time - It was one of the best vacations ever! The location is close to the beach that is perfect for surfing and has an unbelievable sunsets. A lot of restaurants that can be reached within a short walk. People have good vibes and nice mood - a true pura vida feeling. All you need for a nice stay and a great vacation is there. I really what to thank guesthouse hosts Jean and Andrina for the fantastic 3 weeks! Every day in Casa Calocita with you was just amazing. Thank you for friendliness, kindness and the home feeling you give! It was a pleasure to meet you and your lovely dogs Chichi and Bambi! I will for sure come again!

“Very nice and relaxing”

I booked for 5 nights and stayed for 2 weeks. Every was perfect, it is very clean, everything is of good quality and it quite calm, because the place is in a side street, some meters away from the main street (which can be quite noisy). My room was nice, the bed was comfortable and the shared kitchen was always clean. The owners are really nice. Big thank you also to Jacky, the lady responsible for the cleaning, she was really friendly, always in a good mood and available to help, I reawly felt at home.

Really liked everything. Staff, room, AC even if only using it for a few hours, cleanliness, location (so close to the beach!), super quiet, very relaxed and calm environment which is rare in Santa Teresa.

Wow, can't say enough great things about Casa Calocita! From the moment you arrive you feel like you're part of the family. There's such a beautiful community vibe here and the property is beautiful. The grounds are meticulously cared for (literally, Andrina was trimming the grass with hedges/scissors hehe) and the hotel is soo clean. Jacqueline cleans everything daily and was even washing the property's standing fans + blades during my stay. I feel like those small things are often missed, but not at Casa Calocita. Jean and Andrina have the cutest pup named Chi Chi and it feels like a home away from home. The community kitchen is clean and well-cared for with filtered water, free coffee & tea available at all times, and it's a great place to meet other people staying at the hotel. There's a hammock, yoga platform, nice relaxing areas and the rooms are great! The beds and sheets are comfy as well and very spacious, with plenty of spaces to keep your things. There is an outdoor co-working space too. This isn't a busy, high-energy hostel vibe with tons of people bustling about like you might find at Somos or Selina. It's more of a chill, relaxing space with a family/community vibe and opportunities for small group interactions, which is what I was looking for. The location is on the south end of Santa Teresa, with close beach access, supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The Bakery is a must-try and it's only a 5 min walk from the hotel. Overall, if you get the chance to stay at Casa Calocita, consider yourself lucky! I am very grateful I stumbled upon it. :)
