Overview
Hotel Gran Playa is located in Santa Pola on the Costa Blanca, just 500 metres from Gran Playa Beach. It has an outdoor pool, café and bar. Free WiFi is available in the whole Hotel All rooms at the Hotel Gran Playa have been renewed in November 2016 and they are equipped with air conditioning, flat-screen TV and bathroom with hairdryer. Nearly all rooms have a private balcony and free safety deposit box. Alicante is 17 km away and there are 11 km of sandy beach on the coast by the hotel. It is just a 2-minute walk to Pola Park Theme Park, and there is a salt mine nature reserve 300 metres from the hotel.

Mario plus Reception staff, breakfast staff, meeting, the handy man all so friendly & cheerful. Just on arrival Reception gentleman was nice, but could have been bit more helpful. We arived 10.30 pm we would have liked just 1 x drink at bar. Maybe he could have just poured or opened 1 at bar. I struggled with vending machine to get water. Only to find 2x in room, which was brilliant. But he never told us about this.

Staff were friendly. nice (for us) quiet location. Was a 5 min walk to the beach, 10mins to the restaurants. Very clean. Sunny balcony. Santa Pola is a very nice area, lovely beaches and marina

All as you would expect from a 3* hotel. Friendly, welcoming staff. Good range of free toiletries. Breakfast was buffet style. Kettle and safe key were available for free but you have to ask for them at reception. Not a complaint as we knew the location but it’s a good 25 minutes walk across the seafront to town (luckily we had good weather!)

“Quiet area not far from the beach”
Beds and pillows very comfortable. Good to have a couple of English speaking TV channels. Had to ask for a kettle as not standard but free of charge. Fridge and safe F OF C. Everywhere looked clean and tidy. Plenty of toiletries and bottle of water per person on arrival. Balcony overlooking the pool in the sun later in the day. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night but there are so many places to eat out although not particularly close to the hotel. Room maids did a great job as did Paco the barman, nothing too much trouble, polite and friendly.
