- Staff was very nice - The cat is extremely cute, I loved it, but you can only eat with one hand since you need the other hand to constantly fight off the cat trying to steal your food haha

“Perfect spot.”
The location is great, near the sea and the centre. I walked there from the bus. The hostel is beautiful and spacious with two small pools, one on the roof. My room was clean, spacious, comfortable with a large bed and nice bathroom. I had a lovely quiet night and the inclusive breakfast was good. It’s great value for money and the staff are friendly and helpful. I could store my bags for a while. Good WiFi.

Amazing people, had a lot of great long chat and useful advice to enjoy my days on the coast. Breakfast is nice and with local recipes, loved that there is a small but cute pool to relax. Center with restaurants, shops and the market to get buses to minca and palomino are 10 min walk. I would definitely go back!

My experience at Gagaka is always pleasant, I choose to stay here because I feel at home, everything is always very clean and tidy and the guys at reception are always attentive to help, the breakfasts are very well presented and the coffee they serve is simply delicious, the atmosphere is quite quiet ideal for having a good rest even being in the city center. PS: watching the sunset from the terrace is a good plan.

“Great & Safe Place in Santa Marta with very nice stuff !”
We enjoyed the rooftop incl pool and bar. The breakfast was good as well. It’s good located in Santa Marta to go to the city centre or start any trips. The stuff was very helpful and nice and they were always making sure that you feel safe and happy

Nice place, great staff, good breakfast included. It's in a quieter part of town, but close to walk to everything! Room was comfortable and large. Always felt secure.

“Clean and quiet hostel with lovely staff”
I came here for one night but instead of checking into a hotel I just continued staying here for the duration of my trip. Staff is wonderful, always willing to help you, very kind and friendly. I think it's the best staff I met while staying in hostels. The rooms and beds were cleaned everyday. All the music was closed off at 23.00 which was great so you can have your due rest at night. There were also signs put up in bedrooms of rules and about keeping the noise down. Fantastic. The breakfast for dorms and individual / couple rooms is separate and both are really good. The location is great. Away from all the noise but still walkable to the center where all the action is happening. For the price they charge, this place is a killer deal. I also met great people on my trip. Thanks to all the staff for making my stay wonderful.

“Disappointing”
The main staff member at reception was nice and helpful. The place itself has so much potential but it feels abandoned. The 2 pools are nice and seem well maintained however the rooftop pool bar area is super quiet as the bar is closed and there are only 2 sunbeds there and a few chairs
