“Comfortable and relaxing”

Comfortable but relaxed and simple. Even when fully booked it’s not ‘busy’ but just the right number of people, and plenty of room for all guests to have their privacy and space. Very good size rooms.

The room was amazing and the staff was friendly. Wide variety of wine to choose at the restaurant and good cocktails. Food was good. An amazing place overall.

The menus and the food quality and variety is not compatible with a good service. Local food wasn’t available and lunch and dinner should have options done in the charcoal.

The location is really lovely because there aren’t a lot of houses or resorts close to it, so the beach is empty. The setting and layout of the lodge is lovely, although, be warned, there are lots and lots of stairs. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food is nice and the staff are friendly. It has a nice, homely feel to it and there are lovely walks to go on.

“An experience out of this world.”

This is a hidden gem. I have been to beaches and lodges in Asia before and nothing, absolutely nothing compares to the wonderful Machangulo beach. In the lodge, the staff is 10/10 (all speak English and Portuguese fluently), the food is AMAZING and the suites are PERFECT. I recommend doing the activities the lodge offers, specially snorkeling -- I felt as if I was inside the little mermaid movie seeing all these wonderful creatures under the sea. Paulo, the guide is super amazing. If you are not confident enough, he holds your hand throughout, but he makes sure that you get the experience which you paid for. I cannot wait to return to the Machangulo Beach Lodge. All the best to Mr. Jose and all of his team.

“Perfect Vacation”

This is a place to go when you need to rest and rejuvenate. The resort is serene. The low number (10) of chalets at the resort make is very private and the service is great. The staff is ready and excited to help. The food is good. The thicket make the chalets almost hidden from each other. There is no noise at then resort so you can hear the ocean waves 24/7. The view to the ocean is beautiful. The stairway from the beach to the chalets and everything in between helps with some physical exercise 😁 though its painful 😣.

We liked everything about the lodge. The service was amazing and the staff very friendly. The food was excellent with a different selection of food everyday. The rooms were cleaned everyday and at night while we were having supper they could come and opne the net around our bed. We felt like royalty. I would rate this resort six stars!
