What a lovely place to stay. It’s conveniently located between Lucca and Pisa. It has such character, made all the more special by Giorgio and Marta. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. A delicious breakfast in the large garden, too. There aren’t many places like this any more. Warmly recommended.

The villa is absolutely wonderful! It’s cozy and not too big, which means there aren’t too many guests at once — a perfect place for a relaxing stay. I had a truly wonderful stay at Marta’s home. Marta and Giorgio were incredibly welcoming and always greeted us with a warm smile. They were so helpful and kind throughout our stay. The breakfasts were delicious and varied — every morning was a real treat! It was hard to say goodbye when we left; their home is filled with genuine warmth and a cozy, heartfelt atmosphere. Very nice and well-kept villa with a large garden (seating and loungers for relaxing), about 5km outside Lucca. Outstanding breakfast, which you could enjoy in the morning in the garden/on the terrace. The villa is family-run, the atmosphere and service extremely friendly and helpful, whether it was a personal chat, tips and suggestions for things to do or restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay.

Spacious room in a beautifully renovated home. Perfectly located for exploring Lucca and surrounds. Great breakfast in the beautiful gardens and Giorgio was a wonderful host, happily providing information on restaurants and suggestions for outings and parking in surrounding towns. Parking on site.

This is a magical place to stay with the best host, we could not have felt more welcome. The actual accommodation is not luxury and it is quite cosy but anything lacking there was more than compensated for by the charm of the place. Breakfast was wonderful, sitting in the pretty gardens with gentle music and happy family groups spread around; the food was delicious too. The shared fridge for your own things worked well (no fridges in rooms) and the ‘mini market’ of cold drinks and wine on an honesty system was appreciated. Cold water, kettle for hot drinks etc available always. Loved our huge terrace with beautiful views

One of the highlights was the delicious diversified and fresh breakfast served each morning, providing the perfect start to the day. Location of Marta Guest House was perfect, allowing easy access to these incredible destinations in Tuscany: Old City of Lucca, Pistoia, Valley of Garfagnana with beautiful scenery, small village of Montecatini Alto. Thanks to Marta recommendation we avoid crowd on Cinque Terre. Thanks again for everything.

“Friendly, comfortable historical villa in great location”

Marta and her son are very welcoming into their villa. They have recreated a historical building, down to the smallest details. The location is perfect, the gardens and villa we'll tended to, the room clean and sunny. Rich and tasty breakfast. Would highly recommend this place.

What a great place. Georgio went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and valued. He gave us information about places to eat, visit. When we were let down for our transport from the train station he came at very short notice to get us. The breakfast was lovely and a good selection available to choose from. My recommendation would be if you are staying at this lovely place please have your own transport, we didn’t and used public transport , easy if you want to get a bus to Lucca but a lot more difficult to get to the train station and Airport.

The Italian breakfasts were fantastic, with a delightful selection of fresh pastries, fruits, and coffee that made each morning a treat. The unique interior decoration of the house added a special charm to our stay, making it feel cosy and inviting. The location is also ideal, with easy access to all the main attractions. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I highly recommend Marta Guest House to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable experience.
