Marvellous location. Friendly welcome and amazing food. Secure place to.store bikes.

Good location and facilities. Dinner was good, but a bit late for our preference. Good that breakfast was set up the night before for early departure.

Very nice and open personal. Good service and nice diners a la carta. The room and bathroom were very clean.

“Great refuge to stop over for your walk in Picos de Europa”

Definitely one of the best refuge from all the refuge I have stayed! Clean, quite comfortable and showers.

Staff was super nice and dinner was superb.

Another guest at the property was extremely noisy and foul mouthed. The room partitions don't go to the ceiling so basically, you can hear everything and every word from adjacent rooms. Had we been expecting a dorm room in a hostel, I might have been prepared for this but we booked a private room for two and it was very disturbing. Additionally, the restrooms and showers were down 2 flights of stairs and the restaurant/bar was between the restrooms and sleeping rooms. The place was not a proper guest house

Friendly staff, felt like an authentic property as it seemed to double up as the local pub, so was also quite lively when the locals arrived. Breakfast was also good. Nice and rustic and the only property in the village as far as I could see.

we left early for a whole day hiking and the staff prepared breakfast for us during the night and left it on our table. Very good breakfast including seasonal fruits and juices. Location was very good for hiking el Cares (if you have a car). Owners are friendly and helpful.

Nice place from where to start exploring the southern region of Picos da Europa, namely Valdeon. It has all the logistics and personel required for supporting mountain activities in the region.

A perfect place as a base for hiking in the mountains. We stayed in the refugio for 3 nights, at the beginning and in the end of a circular trip we did in the picos de europe. A warm and magical place, and the surrounding nature is perfect for a hiking. The refugio is very neat and clean, the rooms are basic and comfortable, the refugio is very cozy and warm to be in. The staff is pleasant. We had a great time and definitely recommend it.

Fabulous location, lovely staff, good restaurant, friendly informal atmosphere. Perfect for hiking, climbing etc if you're fit, for us oldies it was a wonderful place to just enjoy the mountains.
