Good morning: On March 31, 2026, I made a reservation for two adults and two children, ages 9 and 3, and paid with my VISA card for €89 for the Balneario Cervantes for one night, and €172.90 for the Golf Resort (approximately €195 minus 10%), plus €5.61 for insurance offered on the Booking.com website for two nights, as indicated on the Booking.com website. Interestingly, the €172.90 and €5.61 for the Hotel Alhama Golf Resort were debited from my account when I made the reservation, and the €89 for the Balneario Cervantes was debited just two days later. 1) Balneario Cervantes, Santa Cruz de Mudela, from April 7th to 8th, 2026, with confirmation code 6851939044 and a confidential PIN. 2) Condado de Alhama Golf Resort from April 8th to 10th, 2026, with confirmation code 5825577447. I received both confirmation codes via Booking.com to my email address. Upon arriving at Balneario Cervantes on the 7th, everything was confirmed. I paid €89 with my card and was satisfied with the hotel. Upon arriving last night around 10:30 PM at Condado de Alhama, a gated community with security at the entrance, the security guard told me that there were no hotels in the community, only private homes and apartments. I showed him the confirmation code, and he told me there was no hotel or organization there, and of course, he wouldn't let me in. When I called a Booking.com number I found online (900876440), a man named Noe Sanchez (who spoke Spanish with a strong accent) answered and told me I hadn't made an additional payment, that the total cost of the Alhama Golf Resort was €330 for 2 adults and 2 children, because the price of €179.90 was only for 2 adults and didn't include 2 children. When I opened the Booking.com website to make the two reservations, I always selected 2 adults and 2 children. The prices shown were €89 for the Balneario Cervantes and €194 or €195 for the Alhama Golf Resort.

The room was clean. The restaurant food was good. The staff were friendly and nice. Location easy to reach. Free parking.

The Traditional Architecture of the building was very appealing . Obviously the spa facilities were very good & enjoyed using the large pool .The staff were very accomodating given our poor spanish . The bed was comfortable & the food was very delicious.

Good location for stopover when travelling through Spain, hotel grounds are lovely, the evening meal and breakfast where both good, hotel is a bit dated in places and signage could be better, but all in all a good stopover.

Great hotel, full of character, our room was MASSIVE, seating area, bed area, bathroom. Meals in restaurant good, with great menu options. Location really convenient for overnight stop on way to southern Spain.

The hotel's car park was extensive and only a short walk from the entrance; reception was efficient and the lay-out of the hotel convenient. The bedroom and bathroom were both spacious and well-equipped and the dining room stylish and enormous. The immediate surroundings of the hotel were attractive though looked as if they could do with a little more tlc and, though the outside pools looked enticing, they were closed as it was post-season despite the ambient temperature being in the mid 30s. The indoor pool looked very good in the illustrations but there appeared to be no access to it for those who had not paid for spa treatment. The food at supper-time was undistinguished and reminiscent of canteen catering whilst the bar staff seemed peculiarly unwelcoming. Maybe we hit a bad moment.
