Overview
Pension La Cubana is in the pedestrian area of the old town centre of Santa Cruz de La Palma. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach and the hotel offers free Wi-Fi. The rooms in the historic mansion of La Cubana have views either onto the pedestrian street or an internal patio. They are equipped with a sink and have access to a shared bathroom. La Cubana has a common room with tea and coffee-making facilities and a fridge. It is also located next to a number of squares, cafés and restaurants. There is a large free public parking area just 150 metres from Pension La Cubana. La Palma Port and main bus terminal are a 5 minute walk away. It also takes 10 minutes by bus or car to the airport.

“Depends on the room you get, reccommend for short stays only”
The whole place is old but clean and taken care of. There is a common area. Sheets were nice and the stuff is helpful. In the room there is a sink which is helpful. There is a kitchen with useful stuff to prepare meal e.g. microvawe, fridge.

No breakfast option, but pastries, coffee, sandwiches and croissants available from the bakery directly opposite. Kitchen available. Well located in the centre of town. Only a short walk to the public bus station. Accommodation itself was quiet but does overlook the main street.

Contrary to some reviews we had a very peaceful, quite and comfortable stay over easter weekend. The property far exceeded expectations for the price and overall we would go back. The lady working on Easter Sunday morning was so polite! The rooms were large, bathroom was a big for this type of place, lots of pillows and doonas.

Very central. Though critics in booking were not great , it was very good value for money . The Room was big , not Noisy as it was in the rear side and we had private shower and toilet

“Amazing time in a special place :)”
Staying at the guesthouse was a unique experience. It had a cozy atmosphere, comfortable beds, access to a shared kitchen and living room with its charming balconies. It also boasted a great location, friendly staff, a fair price and the opportunity to explore the interior of a historic cuban style building :)

“Great value for money”
Great value for money, I would not count on sleeping in for long here (at least in my room, the patio is probably much better) since the walls are thin and the sound carries loudly from the street and the kitchen. But that is a small price to be paid compared to the value you are getting. The receptionist was very nice as well.

Location, kitchen, common area and the rustic facilities. Really nice place for good price. If you dont mind older looking rooms, this can be good for you .

“Worth the money, good for short stay”
location was simply the best. It ´s just couple of minutes walk to the beach and it is in the center at the same time. Room was fully equipped, we even had a sink in there. Pillows were great so we had a great sleep.

“Rustic experience in traditional Canarian house”
Traditional Canarian house. Basic but functional. Rustic ambience. Excellent location but can be noisy as it's on a busy street. Use of kitchen.
