Swimming pool and restaurant at top of property have excellent views of the ocean and not too busy. Prices of food and drinks are reasonnable by comparison to other rrstaurants in Santa Catalina. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

Loved the view from the room and from the central pool and hotel restaurant/bar. The rooms are built into the side of a steep hill. Someone was waiting for us on arrival to get our bags to our door and drive us up. Location is close to everything (within 1 mile). Staff are lovely. Place is peaceful and beautiful. Hot shower. AC'd room. Loved staying here! We wanted to do a couple of tours, but hadn't booked anything and Gino was amazing in helping set those up for us!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property. The staff were truly fantastic: Gino and Brian (the owner) felt just like friends throughout our journey 🙂 The pool was stunning and, without a doubt, in the best location on the island to watch the sunset. It was a unique experience that exceeded all expectations, and we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Very friendly staff, big rooms and very nice breakfast. The view is nice. The location is 25 min walk to the beginner surf place, but the staff can bring you there as wel. We booked the coiba tour at the staff (Gino) , it was amazing. Best place of panama so far. A day laterwe went lunching with him to a good an cheap lokal restaurant, amazing

The view from the top, looking out over the treetops down to the sea, was beautiful — though unfortunately, the construction site disturbed the otherwise peaceful scene.

Everthing! The breakfast was amazing, best passion fruit juice! Amazing view and great sunsets from the top of the Hotel. Gino was the best, very friendly and helpful, he took care of everything! The host was also very kind and funny! The rooms are super comfy and clean with a nice terrace with hammocks to hang out. AC and Wifi worked well. Cafés, Restaurants and the beach are in walking distance. We would definitely come back.

Gino is so nice! Have good tips, is available and makes sure that your stay is the best, thank you so much!! The bedroom was nice, the breakfast and the swimming pool are good too and when we could eat at the restaurant, it was delicious!! The Tour at Coiba's Islands was amazing!!

Beautiful view over the ocean. Alejandra the host is very friendly end helpful. Breakfast is great. Rooms are basic, but spacious enough and clean. Due to construction work (workers are building extra rooms next to the pool), it doesn’t feel comfortable to use the swimming pool. PS. If you are not fit, it’s quite a climb up the stairs to reach the room.

Close to the beach and with a pool! Super nice owner who joined us for some drinks and had some super funny stories to tell.

Nice Room with great view! The common area is also lovely with a swimming pool, bar and a pool table. Breakfast was delicious. Gino was very friendly and helpful with tips for activities and the area.

Sol y Mar was amazing. it had a nice clean pool and the manager Gino was wonderful. he was very helpful and showed us nice places and even took us to the beach. The room was big and clean. Our room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was good aswell.

“A beautiful, hidden stay in the jungle”

We booked very last minute but were happily surprised by Sol y Mar. It is a little out of town, and on a steep hill, but it is just worth it. You have a nice breeze in the jungle and the rooms were generally private and clean. The breakfast was lovely and way better than expected. Gino was the best host and made us feel like old friends. If you have babies or toddlers, be aware that there are lots of steps, and railings were not present on many of the porches.

“Stay in jungle on top of the village”

Host Gino was amazing. Stay at this place was like you come to old friend for weekend. Gino not only helps to feel comfortable, but also organize tours. Breakfast was tasty and enough. When you go there you must understand that you will stay in jungle and all service what you will get be as good as it can be in jungle. Also climbing up to hill for some one can be challenging, but for us it was benefit, because we can see amazing view from top. I recommend this place.
