“The staff go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Great location too”

This is the best service we have ever received in any accomodation we’ve ever stayed in. We’ve travelled around Europe, Asia and America and have never met staff as friendly as they were in Velvet. Nothing was too much to ask - from laundry, to booking tours, to having a delicious breakfast to start the day. Coffee was always topped up at breakfast and you were always greeted with a smile and made feel so welcome. We had an upstairs room which we really liked. It was spacious, we had a window, air con was great, cable tv, everything we needed. We understand some reviews might not be great if you have no window - but maybe request an upstairs room if this bothers you. We can’t thank the staff enough for making our visit to this beautiful country so memorable! Also a great location, very very safe and secure.

The typical breakfast was very good, we had it every day. The terrace where we ate all our meals was lovely. The staff were all so helpful.

Very friendly staff, excellent service and great breakfast! Manager Nasdor looked after his clients when they asked us to move to another Vevlet. Our room is in a historic building is old but luckly with hot water, although the tag needs maintenance.

The balcony dining area was lovely. The breakfast was very good. The staff were excellent.

The staff were super friendly and helped us plan our hike up the volcano. They organised breakfast to be ready for us to take with us.

Staff is friendly and accomodating, excellent breakfast. Rooms on 2nd floor are sheltered from the noise of the restaurant and have a limited view of the city.

Nice & tidy hostel, great breakfast. There's a restaurant in the hostel, so you can chill at their rooftop in the evenings and have some drinks. Helpful staff. Location also quite good, walkable distance to the city. I rented a car and it was easy to park next to the hostel.

“Perfect quirky little place to stay.”

A quirky little place, more like a hotel than a hostal, which was in a great location, had amazing breakfasts included and with the most amazing and helpful staff. Nestor was just brilliant, there was nothing he could not sort out or help us with. We had dinner here one night and the meals were so good. We would definitely stay here again.

“5* staff and fantastic value!”

I chose this hotel because of the good reviews and very cheap price. My room was fine, bed and sheets very comfortable, the air con worked and was quiet, and shower was OK but water not very hot. Honestly for the price I paid it was very good value! Note that the socket was a 2-pin so my 3-pin adapter didn't work, but the reception found me an adapter to use during my stay. The staff are 5* and make all the difference! They went over and above to get me last minute tours, and I had a fabulous 3 days around the area! The food is also 5* and not only delicious but superbly presented. The hotel is 6mins walk from the cathedral and conveniently located for bus and Uber.
