“Beautiful characterful stay in a charming village”

Great location in a lovely quiet old Catalan village and a good base for 2 to 3 people to stay and explore the local area. There are some lovely walks in the surrounding countryside right from the front door. The property is quite rustic, as you’d expect for a converted barn, but it has been restored beautifully and all facilities and utilities were clean and in good working order. The host were also very friendly and helpful. Thanks for our stay.

“Charming decorated house located in a small authentic village”

Beautiful decorated old barn with three rooms and two bathrooms. Fully equipped including e.g. washing machine and dishwasher. There was one big bed and three smaller beds (which were a bit less comfy). There is also a nice courtyard with a big table, a BBQ and a small swimming pool (which was empty in May). The location is perfect as the barn is located in a very pleasant, small and authentic village and in a very quiet street. We were just sitting outside sometimes on the street in the evening (as it gets a bit more and longer sun). There is also a café and a very nice grocery shop close-by. Communication with the owners was perfect - proactive and very fast responses.

A modern interior with a traditional exterior! What a lovely find. Beautiful quiet villages, church bells in the distance, crickets in the evenings, a real gem of a spot. Superb local knowledge from the host family, who live next door. They were so helpful and pleasant, couldn't have asked for nicer hosts.

Can Tando is an absolute delight to stay in. It has been so tastefully renovated and furnished with all the original stonework of the barn retained and very natural and neutral additions made to make it into a comfortable home. All furnishings are very neutral so there is a lovely sense of calm and peace. There is a huge window from the sitting area into the enclosed outside area so you feel connected to the outside even when inside. The hosts live next door and could not have been more delightful or helpful. They bought us fresh eggs, fruit and salad and recommended the most glorious coastal walk. We had a wonderful stay

“The best holidays: relax, beach, culture and amazing house”

We get in love of the architecture and decoration but at the same time comfortable to be in, you have all you need and more. Owner is always available for any question, suggestion and necessity in a discreet and kind way. For us the best are the owner! House is close to all: medieval village, best beaches and Gerona. Village is amazing full of life and you have all you need: shop with everything, chemistry, bank, bar, restaurant, petrol … all! All people were soo kind specially the owners. For us keep in a eco and maintenance the tradition in the architecture, in a modern and comfort way is not that easy and they did it! The welcome with some vegetables and wine was just unique!! A place to recommend with family, with friends, couples. And it is the first time that I don’t have to clean when I arrived, it was so clean, towers and bed clothes with night quality cotton. Truly highly recommended. It is not true that owners are looking across windows because it is from other house (so it is a guest lie).
