Overview
Located at 1,000 metres above sea level on the slopes of the Kitzbüheler Horn, Berghotel Pointenhof is right next to the Jodlalm Ski Lift. All rooms have a balcony overlooking the mountains. Hotel offers free Wi-Fi. The spacious rooms are decorated in a traditional Alpine style with wooden furniture and floors. Each room features satellite TV and a bathroom. The restaurant has a sun terrace and serves traditional Austrian cuisine and Tyrolean specialities. A special diet menu is available on request. The Pointenhof has an indoor playroom and a playground in the garden. Free private parking is available on site. In winter, guests can use a ski storage room with a ski boot dryer. In summer, hiking and mountain bike trails start right outside. The centre of St. Johann in Tirol is 3 km away. Transfers to and from St. Johann Train Station are offered on request.

The views are spectacular, and being able to ski right to the door is always something we look for. The staff were friendly and the food was good. The owner made scrambled eggs for my husband every morning, over and above the usual buffet breakfast. It's a dog friendly establishment, and our doggy was even given treats by the owner, which we appreciated.

“Amazing place to stay for a relaxing mountain getaway”
Our family LOVED this property! Surrounded by mountains. The view from our room was spectacular. There is ample parking. There is a little wading/swimming hole. It was too cool to swim just yet (May), but my kiddos loved putting their feet in. There are cows and chickens roaming. The cow bells made it even more perfect. The restaurant was so cute and cozy. Dinners were authentic Austrian meals. Breakfast was delicious and perfect for our family (selection of breads, jellies, cereals, juice, milk, bacon, eggs, deli meats, cheeses, yogurts). WiFi was solid. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms are definitely from the 70s, but all still functioning just fine.
