As a combination of restaurant and hotel, the food at Kronen Gaard was excellent. I decided to have dinner here, and was very glad to have done so. It appears the establishment is used to host conferences or meetings, and a large group of visitors were scheduled to take up much of the dining space, so booking a table in advance may be advisable. Luckily, this did not translate into an undue amount of noise, and indeed I found the hotel appropriately quiet in the later part of the evening. The facilities in my room were good, an excellent mix of modern appliances and antique furnishings.

Very pretty buildings, the old-fashioned decoration matched their historic aspect. Extremely friendly and helpful staff! Clean, quiet (our room was not facing the road) and well furnished. Tasty breakfast!

The historical building created a special atmosphere and the staff was very welcoming. We also loved the delicious choice offered at breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

We liked everything about the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. There was a fan in the room which was very welcome due to the warm temperature. We didn't eat an evening meal at the hotel, but the breakfast was very good. We would definitely recommend and would stay again if ever in the area.

It’s a great authentic place with very good and quality breakfast. The staff were very kind, they even offered us a bigger room on the ground floor because we had a dog. As a bonus, they have electric car chargers that you can use for free.

What a wonderful family run hotel with great history and charm... super kind, friendly, helpful staff made me feel very welcome. As a solo traveller, this is really appreciated. I arrived extremely cold after a long day's ride on a motorbike, so the en suite with a bath and underfloor heating was absolute heaven (room 300)! The super comfy bed and quiet location meant a wonderfully good night's sleep...breakfast was plentiful and very tasty.
