The staff were friendly. The location is ok if you have car cause a bit far from nearest town if want to walk. But overall i like the hotel. Comes here maybe 4/5 times already.

“Good location to base yourself for day trips”
Near the airport, in middle of sandakan town and the sun bear/orangutan sanctuaries which were 25 minutes each direction. We also visited the proboscis monkey sanctuary by grab which was around 50 minutes from hotel. There was lots of local curry houses in the area, we liked zakaria

Rooms were grim & we had over £300 of foreign currency go missing in this hotel. No Malaysian ringgit was taken only Vietnamese dong, dollars & Thai baht so we didn’t notice until later after we left. We only left the room for half an hour max but no safe was provided stupidly trusted it would be safe enough. Avoid!!!!
