“A Gem in Alaverdi – Exceptional Hospitality!”

Valiva is clean, comfortable, and perfectly located halfway between Sanahin Monastery and the Mikoyan Museum. Both are within easy walking distance. The host offers a private car service, which I highly recommend. I booked a one-day tour from Yerevan → Lake Sevan → Akhtala Monastery → Haghpat Monastery, ending at Valiva. On the second day, he even kindly drove me to the Alaverdi bus station for my next connection. Also, be sure to pre-book the homemade dinner—his wife is an amazing cook and the portions are very generous! A shared kitchen is also available for guests if you prefer to cook for yourself. Highly recommended!

Clean and quiet place to stay, public kitchen have a washing machine is a huge advantage for travellers, breakfast's great, located close to sanahin monastery, and the starting point of the trek to haghpat. Highly recommend.

We were warmly welcomed by the friendly owner and his family. Room was clean, beds comfortable, countryside location was great. We slept very well and wish we could have stayed 1 more night.

An awesome place in the middle of the nature. You will meet an amazing host. Do not hesitate asking for breakfast: it is the best I have ever had! I totally recommend this place.

This is a lovely little homely refuge in Sanahin, a stones throw away from the monastery. Gevorg and Mane are the kindest, most caring hosts. Gevorg greeted us on arrival and took the time to get to know us and make us feel welcome. We absolutely loved it here!

It is so great that a washing machine is provided at the common area.

“Wonderful guesthouse with nice garden”

New guesthouse 5 minutes walk to Monasty Sanahin. Run by a very nice family. The owner was very helpful to find transportation. For a really fair amount of money he picked us up from the bus station. His friend gave us a safe transport to Tbilisi. Thanks again for everything, especially the breakfast prepared by the nice wife of the owner.

We stayed one night at VaLiVa. Gevorg has built a great place, very clean and light with excellent modern facilities. Hot water with good pressure in the shower. Gevorg was very helpful and friendly. He drove is to Haghpats and we hiked back, with a stop at the Sanahin bridge. Breakfast was good. The location was excellent, right near the monastery.

Simple, no frills guesthouse, but great location to access the nearby monasteries (5-min walk) and hikes. Very friendly, helpful, and attentive staff. Breakfast (for a fee) was delicious.

Fantastic proximity to the HikeArmenia app walk Sanahin to Haghpat walk which is stunning. Hosts lovely in every way. They called the driver and reserved us a place on bus to the border with Georgia and took us to the bus stop in the the morning too with coffee plus an amazing stay

It was a pleasure to stay at this wonderful place. The location is truly great - a stunning view of the surrounding mountains, conveniently located near the historic Sanahin Monastery and Mikoyan brothers' museum. The guest house is newly built and impeccably clean. My room was cozy, comfortable with a homely atmosphere. The most enchanting and exceptional thing here - it's the hospitality of the hosts. This wonderful family is incredibly friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist with anything you may need. I'm immensely grateful to the hosts for their warmth and hospitality. I hope to have a longer stay here on my way back from Georgia :)
