The breakfast was a very good selection of home-made cakes, eggs/cereal were available if you wanted. Our room was very spacious and clean as was the entire B&B which was a change from generic hotels Dafne was an excellent host> Ideally located to visit the d'Orcia valley

The location is ideal, especially if you want to explore the Tuscan region, as the town is well-positioned for travelling around. It is situated slightly below the main town area, and from the hotel you walk gently uphill for about 7 minutes to reach the high street, where all the restaurants and shops are located. This is a big advantage, as you don’t need to worry about parking in the centre — you can park at the hotel and easily walk everywhere. The breakfast was very good. There is excellent coffee, freshly prepared by the host, and also a coffee machine available. For children or those who prefer a lighter breakfast, there are cereals and milk in the fridge, which you can access freely throughout the day, not only during breakfast hours. Every morning there are several types of pastries and cakes, typical of an Italian breakfast — always fresh and very tasty. If anything is left after breakfast, it remains available for guests to enjoy later in the day. If you prefer something different, the host is open to accommodating requests. The host is very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to give helpful advice or have a chat. The rooms were clean, and we especially appreciated the shower, which worked perfectly and was very comfortable. The building itself is quite special — as we were told, it is one of the few that remained after World War II, when most of the town was destroyed. Because of this, the walls are thick, which helps maintain a comfortable temperature: warm in colder weather (with efficient heating) and pleasantly cool when it’s hot outside.

“A warm welcome.”

This family run place is highly recommended. It is a short walk from the centro storico in a beautifully restored old building which has retained many of the original features. Spotlessly clean. The host was very welcoming. Breakfast was delicious including home made cakes. There are commendable measures to reduce plastic waste.

The best breakfast we've had on the Via Francigena in Italy! There are cakes, tea, and fruit for afternoon tea, as well.

“A gem of a place to stay”

What a fabulous place to stay. We were warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The room was good, spacious and well appointed which a nice warm shower and comfy bed. The home made cakes provided were a lovely surprise.

The hostess is very lovely and helpful. We were there when arrived at property and it was closed but after sending her a message and calling on phone she arrived very quickly . We got 2 room on the second floor . The beds were comfy. And the rooms are spacious . But the real gem was breakfast. I have never seen such a treat on private properties!

Very nice owner, absolutely stunning breakfast. The lady treated us like kings and queens. The accommodation is in a perfect location with parking available just a short distance from the center. We would love to return.

We loved our stay at Antica Sosta. It is a charming place with authentic atmosphere. The host was very kind and helpful. The breakfast she prepared herself was unique! There was such a variety of cornetti, salami, cheese, pancakes, and other savory stuff, fruit, juice, tea and coffee as well, that it was difficult to choose from. Not to mention the homebaked cakes - more than 10 different types. We were sorry that we could stay only 1 night. Antica Sosta is very close to the centro storico. There are free parking spaces in front of the house. We absolutely recommend Antica Sosta.

Location near town. Good breakfast (in fact it kept on coming). Very friendly owner who offered me fruit and water when I arrived hot and tired. And they made space for my bicycle.

We really appreciated the location of this hotel, very close to city center with bars, restaurants, supermarket. Room was clean, spacious, bathroom was also clean and equipped with hairdryer, shampoo etc. Breakfast was delicious - home made!!

Great atmosphere in a historic stone building a short walk from the historic centre. The owner waited for us with a late arrival and in the morning she prepared an amazing breakfast with fresh pancakes.
